A day late, but how did your day continue? Were you able to not eat over the crap?

I have to be so SOOO careful with goals that they don’t become obsession… I am trying to make an action plan and do it on a 24 hour basis and that is where my exercise goes - one 40-60 minute walk a day. I’d love to get on there 20 minutes of yoga and 20 of tai chi, too.

I’m here and doing well. I need to find a sponsor, though… Have a great 24 hours!

Hey girl! I’m a CO and sugar addict. I am unable to sponsor any one else at the mo but we can be “OA buddies” if you’d like.

I've been struggling with people pleasing all of my life. Most of my thoughts are concerned with this… Todays message resonated with me as far as my job goes as I saw that I continue to look at others for my self esteem. Instead of just doing my job, I go out and want approval and, therefore, "love". So, yes, today's…

Exactly these words heard in '93 kept me coming back… Someone else spoke my language. Another person had the same thoughts that I did… My mind is tricky and food does call to me. Just last night, I had just finished eating dinner and I kept thinking about food. "What can I eat? "Should I have a smoothie?" "What's in the…

That question is BRILLIANT and just what I needed...

Thank you so much! You all are great! I think it's all about accountability to myself in being free from compulsive overeating and behaviors that lead toward obsession. I've decided on 1 time a week (Sunday) and I HAVE to find some way to go to meetings, etc. doing this alone is insane, and I know where that leads... to…

Great topic! What I love about the program is that one can chose a HP of ones choice. Once a person has become comfortable with what they can call, for themselves alone, a Higher Power, the magic begins. I tend towards God, myself but there were years that I had to have a female image for a HP when it came to fighting for…

I've been abstinent from sugar since 93'. I've eaten abstinently for 24 hours - that means not overeating and eating what my plan has to offer. What I LOVE is that abstinence can begin at anytime of the day or night - not just in the morning. It begins with the decision to stop eating compulsively, whenever that happens,…

I tried it and started having gallbladder problems if I took it too late after eating....

I'm so glad you started this... I've felt so "alone" in this here in Switzerland.

Wow, quite a heated discussion topic... I eat breakfast because I like breakfast. I've been working with a nutritionalist and she has changed what I eat for breakfast but I don't like leaving it out. Leaving out meals for me leads to feelings of deprivation and those are deadly...

Well, that's been my story for a couple of months as well... I have to remember that if I'm doing everything that it takes then I'm ok. It may just take me letting go of the control and letting my body adjust as it needs to for a while... Hard but keep on keeping on. It DOES work!

Yup... Also some laundry detergent does this to me...

LIKE!!!!!

Those are both good... I like them as well - the GAIAM and Denise Austen...

I like the Bodywisdom series... I also do the Scott Cole Tai Chi series (morning evening - is my favorite). I love combining the 2. Good luck!

I know this... I was feeling like that the other day. I just wanted to eat for eating sake. What stopped me is that I didn't want to log the calories... Ha! I find that when I want to eat it's often an emotion that I'm trying to cover up OR I'm procrastinating about something. If I do what I'm procrastinating about, then…

I love Scott Cole and his Tai Chi videos.

Girl, I have some GREAT people on my friends list. Check 'em out... Or should I introduce you? Anyway, you know where I am and that you can write me anytime. Keep on KEEPIN' ON!!!

I do a lot of steaming... Or instead of oil, I'll put water with a bit of bouillon and herbs in it and cook up my veggies and meat. I LOVE the taste and it saves on fat...

Nice... REALLY nice...

Thank you for sharing your story and pictures. It's a story so many of us have and I am always touched to see that someone else is speaking (writing) my words for me. You did this today. Thank you, again.

Sounds like it's time for a check-up... I do know that I once had heliobacterium pylori (which basically feels like an ulcer but is actually bacterial) most likely from foods I was eating when I went to Kenya for 2 weeks. It's easily fixed with MAJOR antibiotics but I haven't had a problem since. They've found a rise in…
