I drink 5-6 regular, non-light beers a couple of nights every week and I still lose 3.5 lbs per week. So yes it can be done. :)

It's a cheat day. Everyone is entitled to them. You work hard you deserve a break. I'm in the same boat but I'll eat more more healthy snack before I go to the party, limit portions, and drink light beer.

Yeah beer is a killer for calories but ya gotta live too. I have a friend who is into competition bodybuilding and even she goes hard on fast food and booze one night a week, even when she's training. She told me, "One night isn't going to make you fat." You only have one life. Don't deny yourself anything. :)
