I ended up with a Vitamin B-12 deficiency. To help lose weight, I reduced my intake of red meat, and I can't digest dairy. Red meat and dairy are main sources of B-12. Now, I take B-12 supplements, so my levels are back to normal levels.

The cost of premium now isn't worth it, in my opinion. I used it before, and it didn't offer me any benefit. Now, the only benefit I can think of is being able to scan products rather than entering them manually. That's not worth paying $79 USD a year. I want to know what percentage of users have premium.

I did. I began losing back around 2003. I lost about 60 pounds and it's still gone, thankfully. I have cheated from time to time, but I'm glad I haven't gone back to that weight. It's hard, no doubt. But it gets a littler easier as time goes by.

Good luck

Also, it's okay if you are not rigid with your plan. You should be sure to follow it for the most part, but if you want a cookie, have one. Don't eat five, and I recommend not eating the light, low-fat cookie. Eat the real thing. For me, if I eat a light version, I'm not as satisfied and I crave more. If I eat the regular…

This has been said before, and i think I may have even said it myself before. But your goal (whether it's to drop x number of pounds or drop x number of pants sizes) is not the end. You have to make lifestyle changes that last forever. All the things we do to get us to where we want to be are things we have to do…

I'm at 1416 as of today. And counting. I have the settings to remind me if I happen to forget it. I'll get a text message letting me know I didn't log a meal by the time I specify. Sometimes I get busy and forget to log it, and it's nice to get that reminder. In case you don't know how to set it up (you can only do it from…

Yes. That's one of the outcomes of losing weight. I had a couple of items I really liked, so I had them altered to fit my new size. That's a little cheaper than buying all new clothes. But I think the new wardrobe is a reminder of the new path you took to reach the new you. Congratulations. Keep it up.

They don't tell you that your goal should be long-term and not merely to reach a certain weight or a certain waist size. So consequently, many people get to the desired size or the desired weight and they rejoice and celebrate and they end up going back to those old habits and the old size. The better way is to employ…

Or you can get some nice adorable frames and keep the glasses. So many frames nowadays are chic and stylish. It's not easy switching to contacts for everybody. But you can always upgrade your style/class of frames.

Portion them out. Separate them as soon as you buy them. I portion my snacks into little baggies as soon as I bring them home. That way, I know exactly how many I eat. A little tip that helps me is, I don't need to eat a full serving to be satisfied. Half of a serving is fine for me. You have to discipline yourself to be…

You're absolutely correct. Congratulations on your progress. It does get easier. It's those little habits you create that make it easier. Doing them everyday is soooooo very important. Keep it up.

I'm right around 1350 daily. That helped me to lose 1-2 pounds per week. At my ideal weight, I still stay there, and the weight fluctuates up or down a pound or two. But I generally stay around my same weight.

Here are my top three tips. 1. Plan all your meals. Always be thinking about your next meal (including between-meal snacks) ahead of time so you don't do any mindless eating. Work on thinking of your meals several days in advance. There's a lot of talk about meal prep these days. That's a crucial step in maintaining good…

Today makes 1373. I'm still at it. I've seen a few people around the site with more than me.

Not only that, but sometimes the app freezes or I have had it not sync between my mobile device and my desktop along with other malfunctions. Why should people pay when there functionality issues? Still, even when it's working correctly, I don't see any benefit to premium. I tried it over a year ago. It didn't benefit me.

I do the same thing. I watch that show to remind me how I don't want to be. I feel sorry for them. I was never even close to that weight, my highest weight was 220; but I see how they struggle and don't want to end up in that situation. It was hard enough to lose the 65 pounds that I lost. I know it must be really hard to…

This may not really be the right place for this but, the thing that is most motivating me right now is when I'm feeling stuck in a plateau and someone compliments me on making progress. Sometimes I may not see any progress. But it's very encouraging when someone else sees it and lets me know. That helps me stay on track…

Fastening a shirt or pants easily, without struggling when I previously couldn't wear them, is a huge motivation. Other people may not even notice. But I sure can see it, and that teeny tiny milestone is enough to help me stay motivated.
-
That's great. I'm at 1325, and with each new day it helps motivate me to stick with it.
-
That is wonderful. That's the best measure of your progress: you clothes are falling off of you. Great job!

What motivates me the most is seeing others achieving their goals, against all odds. That shows me that it can be done and helps me to stay on track, or quickly get back on track when I fall off the wagon. This is why I like communities such as My Fitness Pal, because people share their experiences and their goal…

My weight loss soared because I begin to eat a lot more fiber and drink a lot more plain water. But one thing I noticed as a consequence of that is, I visit the bathroom far more often -- #1 and #2. I should have known, but I didn't think of that in the beginning.
-
Great job. You are on the right track by eliminating junk food. Good luck on your goals.

This reminded me how I bought a scale a year ago and forgot about it. I need to look for it and start using it again.
-
A shirt that used to always be my favorite is now too big, and I need to give it away or donate it.
-
Drink copious amounts of plain water. I think water is crucial to help achieve weight loss goals more efficiently and more expeditiously.
-
Good luck in your goals.

I hear conflicting information about eating too much spinach. How much is too much? Can you clarify if there are legitimate health risks with spinach and what the rule of thumb is on that?

I eat plain popcorn. I have an air popper. A couple of handfuls of popcorn is a great snack. Just be sure to portion it out to be mindful of how much you are eating.
