  • I'm 8 lbs away from 100 lbs down. I was just checking myself out today and it's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I've still got a ways to go though and I think a lot of what I do have is still fat and will come off eventually. Even if my skin never gets any better than it is, this is way better, and more…
  • Thank you, everyone. It really means a lot ❤❤❤
  • I picked 150 lbs, which is at the very high end of normal or low overweight for my height, according to the charts. I have no desire to be skinny, as I don't find that attractive (it's great if someone likes themselves that way, it's just not for me). I'm just aiming for that as a general goal and I figure when I get…
  • I used to hate everything about me. Other than my weight, I am very happy with who I am inside and out now. I guess physically it's my eyes that I love the most.
  • Small goals so you hit your goals and get a "win" fairly often. If you have lost "only" five pounds, find something that weighs five pounds and carry it around for a while, you'll see it's not nothing. They say that for every pound you lose, it takes four pounds of pressure off your knees, so in the beginning I used to…
  • The OP asked everyone to look at their picture, that happens to be of two shirtless men, and make a snap judgement off that picture. Yeah, I guess it's funny how we can be asked to do something and then do it. I'd have not even looked at his picture if he'd not have asked.
  • What? I could be wrong but you do not look like either of the two half naked men in the picture.
  • Combined with the post about what we think..... attention seeker. Not being rude, you asked and that's my first thought.
  • No one gains four pounds in a day, it's just water retention. But its a good reminder for those starting out that things won't keep on with the large losses that they start out with, but progress is progress.
  • When it comes to weight loss, a calorie is a calorie and they are all equal. When it comes to being healthy, she's right in that regard that they are not equal. Eating just snickers at a deficit will let you lose weight but eating a healthy diet at a deficit will help you lose weight AND get/stay healthy. For her to say…
  • Take the measurements today, you'll never regret it. I believe in pictures, weights and measurements, they are all useful in keeping motivated and seeing progress. You have made some very obvious and great progress already in your pictures. Keep going, you are doing great!
  • I know this post is old but I'm just wondering if either of you would recommend this program? The comments on FB seem really good but I don't trust them not to be paid. I know, I'm cynical.
  • Yes, I got that. I should have erased the part that quoted you also to make sure it was understood that I was replaying to Tony. I'm sorry for the confusion.
  • Hair under arms, on legs and on the privates is totally natural and not something people, no matter their sexual organs, should be shamed for. But being more comfortable shaving/waxing/sugaring/whatever that hair is not something people should be ashamed of either. I have literally met (online) a person who said that a man…
  • I have to mention that people are asking if it's on purpose cause these internet articles keep telling us never to praise someone's weight loss cause maybe they are sick and it's a side effect. We just can't win.
  • Lost a ton of weight just giving up sugar. Which led to me eating less altogether, which led to more loss. Now I'm so happy to be losing again that I can't stop trying. Can't wait to feel safe to go to the gym, cause that'll be a game changer.
  • Twice a day in the summer, but you can hardly call them all showers, they are mostly just a minute or two to rinse the sweat off with a hasty go-over with a bath poof and soap. Every other day or so in the winter. I don't work out yet, but if I were to work up a sweat, I would at least hop in long enough to rinse down.
  • Great job! You look so much more comfortable. Keep up the amazing work!
  • I don't know what the weight limit is but the blood pressure machines at some pharmacies (I know many Walmarts have/had them and some chain places) also take your weight while you are sitting on them.
  • You are gonna burn out quick if you are trying to keep moving every second that you aren't at work or sleeping. I'm sure there are a few people who do it, but it's not natural. We need downtime. We need to relax. Our bodies need to recover. Make your plan for exercise and stick to it. Make your plan for eating/calories and…
  • Lose the friend. That'll be a HUGE weight gone. Seems that's the only weight you need to lose.
  • So it's a little TMI but I'm so happy. I was in the tub shaving and realized that I can see "down there" when I shave it now. I still have to move my stomach a bit but I wasn't able to move it enough to see in the past.
  • I weigh and track on an app daily, I track on Fridays for MFP. It's better for me as if I'm retaining water for some reason on Friday, I don't have to worry about it. I know that it's not a real spike. I can see that it's went up two or three kg from the day before, and know that's impossible to be "real" weight, whereas…
  • 10 pounds in four days plus salty and sweet cravings this week. Your profile picture points toward you being female. I'd venture to guess that the cravings are period related and the gain is water retention related for the same reason (different women retain at different times but usually in the week leading up to it…
  • I have two. One scale based, to get to 105 kg which was the lowest I've ever been as an adult, so I'd really like to get back there. The non-scale based, more long term goal, is to sit down in the tub and not form a watertight barrier with my butt lol. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about.
  • I'm leaving my husband (hopefully he'll come to his senses and grow up and it won't be forever) and it's kinda a revenge body thing. He didn't cheat, so I'm not sure if that's the appropriate term, but close enough. It's not to "win him back", it's to make him feel bad about what he lost. On top of knowing exactly what…
  • Kommodevaran, thank you, I'd not thought of Google Sheets. I could make a new page for each week. I think it should work well, and extra bonus that it syncs between the phone and computer. LivingLean, thanks for the idea but I'm not interested in using MFP in this way.
  • I didn't read all the comments, there are too many but I would say a good chance of your weight gains on a low calorie diet is sodium. You said you are eating all premade food which is notoriously high in sodium which will make you retain water. You mentioned low-sodium frozen dinners (which I bet are still pretty high)…
  • As long as you are eating enough, I'd not worry about it yet. It should slow down to "normal" quickly. If you are still losing like that in a week or two, you need to reevaluate what you are doing.
  • If you are extremely overweight you'll be able to get by with "eyeing it" for a while, but as you get closer to your goal, you really should get a scale. I would just buy one, they really aren't that expensive.
