  • I am on week 6 (month 2 week 2) of insanity and I'm loving it!! Seeing more inches lost than lbs; but I'm noticing a huge difference already! I plan on doing another round upon completion! Advice- don't freak out about the scale.. It's possible you will gain "newbie muscle". Take measurements and progress pics weekly!…
  • Thank you! MFP tells me to eat 1360 ... And I burn around 500+ a day with insanity. Thanks I guess I'll up my calorie intake . My net is usually around 1000-1200 ... I tried upping my healthy fats EVOO and almond butter ... I guess I just need to eat more !
  • I'm almost done with week 1 of month 2 of insanity ! I would love to join a group to chat with others doing the same program. Most people are doing t25 ... I'd love to hear from some fellow Insane people! Lol
  • Ok I'm glad you're the judge of what an athlete is. I played basketball accross the country for years and could have played in college if I wanted to. If you don't have anything to say about my post then don't comment on it. I'm truly annoyed by people like you on this site
  • Yes, definitely repeating both months! I thought about just repeating month 2 but I hear doing the whole thing over again is better on your body!! And I hear you'll get way more out of month one than you did the first time since you're stronger . I'm super excited I am so confident this program will keep working as long as…
  • Thanks for the advice! My fat is usually at around 30%. (Almond butter, avocado, EVOO, almonds) I don't eat anything "low fat" or any type of diet food. I measure all of my food. If anything I'm underestimating calorie burn. I need to invest in a HRM to be sure, but until then I log my Height/weight and insanity work out…
  • Congrats!!!! That is awesome! I was never a big soda drinker, Starbucks and cigarettes were my guilty pleasure! Even when saying "sugar free , no whip, soy milk" I still needed a cigarette or two with every beverage!! (Nasty I know) I'm now more than 3 months cigarette/Starbucks free!!! No cravings whatsoever anymore, and…
  • Thanks!! Good Luck to you! Im originally from Queens, saw you live in Ny!! And you are most def not too old at alllll!!!!! Congrats to us progressing and continuing this journey BEFORE the summer season! I'm going to do another round of insanity when I complete month 2. The sweat and pain will be well worth it come bathing…
  • I just posted amount month 2 except no one replied! LOL tomorrow should be my day 3 of month 2. (Instead I'm going I repeat today's work out since I stopped half way thru) it's pretty intense... I'm truly hoping I get stronger and am able to keep up better. I'm in pretty good shape and I've always been an athlete but this…
  • I think body fortress is great!! And you can totally use it as a meal replacement, especially for breakfast .. Works great when you're on the go... Throw in 1c almond milk, some berries, 1/2c old fashioned oats, and a scoop of protein powder. So many recipes. If you have the time of course it's great to eat breakfast…
  • Thanks! I myself have been eating super clean since the day I started this (feb 5) fruits veggies lean proteins and whole grains. I eat brown rice, quinoa, 100% whole grain pita pockets (all on moderation) I'm just hoping the complex carbs don't make me keep weight on. I keep hearing how essential whole grains are when…
  • Body Fortress Super Advanced Whey(30g) They have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry (I prefer vanilla since it goes well with everything) You can get it at Walmart for around $15.00
  • I'm a big fan of protein powder! I use super advanced whey vanilla. Each scoop has 30g of protein. I use one scoop every morning after my work outs. (Wether it be in a shake or my old fashioned oatmeal) there are lots of recipes using Protein powder. I was skeptical at first, because I didn't want it to make me gain…
  • Congrats on your success!! I'm almost done with my third week of month one(doing a hybrid of insanity/brazil butt lift) I've seen inches lost, but not many lbs. I'm in pretty good shape and probably only have 10 to lose if that. How are you eating? I'd just like to get some input, because I'd love to see a difference on…
  • I posted recently how I wasn't very keen on taking off days. However I was informed our bodies really need a day to rest and apparently rest days are "when the magic happens". Maybe go for a walk/do some stretching ? So many people have suggested an off day to me once a week, and I do find i have more energy the next day…
  • Thank you for informing be about the HIIT workouts I've heard of it but never looked in to it. That seems perfect. I am seeing results, my clothes have been looser and I've lost inches. I just wonder if I could be seeing more results even faster lol I know it's a slow process but I'm eager! I'm almost to where I was last…
  • Thank you!! I'm definitely going to look in to that! And definitely I'm trying to take advantage of being 21 and push myself while I can. I would totally spend so much time in the gym if the nearest one wasn't 50min away! Disadvantage of living in the middle of nowhere lol thanks again!
  • Thanks! My main goal is to just be in the best shape possible. I do enjoy my treadmill at various intervals and inclines, but not for too long lol it usually stop at 30-40 min tops. I'd like to find a 25 min treadmill work out that burns calories and that I enjoy. I also need to figure out how to work my HRM. I still am…
  • Yes, squats. They're incorporated in all of my work outs already. I'm wondering if I should be adding extra cardio.
  • Whatever it may be, if it motivates you to feel/look healthy, then go for it ! I first starting doing insanity for a reason I don't care to admit to, but it worked!! Lol just do you!
  • I wear 34DD and for years playing basketball always doubled up. I bought a Champion sports bra and it's awesome. It was pricey if I remember correctly(well worth it though) I love VS bras and bathing suits but have yet to try their sports bras. Definitely interested now.
  • I'm currently doin a hybrid of insanity and brazil Butt lift ... I highly reccomend BBL. The resistance band & ankle weight work outs make a huge difference. I'm on week 3 and I'm definitely seeing results already. It comes with the yellow band you need when you order it, and I bought ankle weights from Walmart.
  • New to this site? Most definitely. New to fitness ? Absolutely not. I'm on here for words of encouragement and wise advice, not for people to tell me I'm new here.
  • I choose to eat clean to feel good and fuel my work outs, not just to drop some pounds. And I'm not new here of you've read pay previous posts ... Lol
  • Thanks a million for all of your kind advice! Not feeling guilty anymore :)
  • I'm far from new to working out.. I've played travel AAU basketball on numerous teams and should've played in college but made the choice not to. I've had 2 a days all throughout HS in addition to my personal work outs. I'm just really motivated to stick to this hybrid program and I am wanting to see great results…
  • Thank you everyone for your input. Insanity includes a cardio recovery day but that day isn't included on the hybrid shedule I found and am currently following. There is one day on Bbl that is strictly weights "sculpt" and another with resistance bands and ankle weights. In a way I view those as recovery days considering…
  • I hear you !!! I've been really enjoying the hybrid between insanity and BBL. I plan on completing the 60 days and if I don't see the results I'm wanting in the booty area, I'm going to repeat BBL by itself. I am also VERY curious about hip hop abs. (Especially because of the great deal I keep seeing on Tv!) lol 10 lbs…
