I actually have that "problem" too! I look in the mirror, even naked, and I think I look awesome, then I see pics and I wanna gag. And unfortunately since I started trying to loose weight, I no longer think I look good in the mirror even though the numbers on the scale are dropping :(

Woah what are you talking about? Fresh brewed coffee generally has 4-8 calories in it, there's NO WAY it has 240 calories. Unless you're adding cream and sugar or like... an entire brownie... your morning coffee doesn't really add anything to your daily calorie consumption. Just drink it black or add sugar free flavored…

To everyone complaining about the prices of limes, there's a very good reason why they've gone up so much in the last few weeks: THERE IS A MASSIVE LIME SHORTAGE!!!! There was too much rain in Mexico, a tree disease, and now the cartel's getting involved based on the higher prices. I'm dead serious, they're calling it the…

Yup, I do know that :). I just prefer to keep my meals slightly lower fat and cal than traditional mac n cheese. And to have a bit of variety. And honestly, it's working just fine for me. I've lost 15 lbs in just under 3 months and couldn't be happier with the way I'm doing it and my progress. My diaries open (though don't…

Years ago when we were just starting to date, hubs tried to get me to workout with him. And by workout with him I mean he was trying to teach me his ways of working out. It lasted 2 days. He was fresh out of the Marine Corps and in WAAY better shape than I was (still is, but hey lucky me!), and while he tried to be "easy"…

This is how I, personally with my relationship with my mom (which sounds very different from yours) would deal with this situation: "Mom, I know you're trying to show your concern and that you want the best for me, and I sincerely appreciate it and you. However, you are being incredibly hurtful in how you're going about…

Everyone looks so much younger in their after pics!!! What wonderful transformations :)

Hey I'm up for anything! I might not use the kraft cheese in a can (cheese in cans really freaks me out, I can't even eat Parmesan in a can), but some light grated cheese and like a TBSP of almond milk might be good. Thanks for the idea OP!! I tried cauliflower mashed potatoes before and really like them, cauliflower pizza…

HI OP! I'm not BP but borderline (which is a lot like BP but with more rapid swings (more or less) and I too struggle with my weight. I've been off my meds for a few years now because I didn't like how they made me feel (though I totally support other people on medications, it just wasn't right for me) and learning more…

I'm in the B-belly club!!! I'm so happy this thread has been brought back to life, I was JUST stressing about this earlier!

I'll have my 3 niece's here the night before, so I get to play Easter Bunny!! Super excited about it! After we do baskets/eggs, off too my Aunt's house where my sister will have her baskets waiting for them, an egg hunt outside (depending on the weather), and a feast awaiting. Even thought it's a smaller holiday than my…

Buy a thermal lunch bag and an ice pack. Keep it at your desk. YES it's annoying but when I worked in an office I kept my lunch at my desk and my snacks in a drawer after a box of granola bars and my lunch went missing. Never happened again :).

OMG I just almost peed reading that. Tehehe.

First of all, congratulations on trying to be healthier. As someone who has had her own struggles with mental health (not ED), I know how hard it is to try and return to "normal," and seeking advice is a wonderful step. Good on you :) But everyone else is right. You need to consult a doctor and a nutritionist to help you…

Honestly, I don't understand that alarm at all. If someone wants to lift heavy, I don't see why they should be discouraged from doing so in a place of fitness. I know the gym exists to make people who aren't in great shape comfortable in a gym setting, BUT I don't see how someone else lifting weights will make you…

I totally understand your frustration here! I'm ok if there's junk food in the house and I don't eat it, but as soon as I do eat any, I eat like ALL of it. I'm trying to teach myself moderation, but it's so hard.

This.This.This. What a jerk nozzle. Honestly. I agree with everyone else, go stay with your mom or a friend for a few days.

My mom had us clean our plates, but I don't resent her for it. She was a struggling single mom and was doing the best she could. I have my three nieces about half the time, and I am sure to give them small portions. They normally clean those up and they are more than welcome to seconds, but they pretty much know not to…

Feel free to add me! I log every day, and if you want to you can go through my friends list, they're all really supportive.

Your friends will probably support every burn you post (no matter how small) and every pound dropped. And if not, feel free to add me, I normally only burn like 2-300 too lol.

Last night I did sauteed brussel sprouts, cous cous and garlic bread with baked salmon. YUM.

Valid point, but I see going out for fast food as "caving" because I'd really rather eat homemade. It's just a nifty little tool for those times when I can't eat at home.

You forgot the cheese! And beans!!

When you start bettering yourself, people see the faults in themselves and take it out on you. You are doing a great job and forcing them to see how unhealthy they are. The difference between you and them is you decided to better yourself and they want to drag you down. You deserve better and more supportive people in your…

I go over rather often, which is pretty amazing considering that I stopped cooking with salt over 2 years ago! Hubs and I were taking care of his grandpa who had congestive heart failure and hubs himself has high blood pressure, so I just cut it out of cooking period. I think my problem is that I eat at work often…
