Why do people deny CICO? Because trolling is so much fun!

I clicked on this thread looking for inspired trollery and extreme butthurt. Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

I do a little lifting for tone, and consequently the veins in my arms bulge out. I sent a picture to a friend in jail. She showed it to a friend, who said I would make a good drug addict.

I know I will get ripped for this. BUT: some people are just very impatient. After two years of maintenance, I had gained 12 lbs. So, I lost two lbs a week and went from 197 to 185 in six weeks. I continued my routine of cardio, calisthenics, and light lifting. I'm still alive. Body still looks good. Most importantly to…

Everyone knows the later you eat, the more the calories stick around. Duh.

My neighbor, whom I don't see too often, asked me, "What happened to the guy who used to live here?"

It depends on what time you go to bed.

I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray. I put a few squirts on all my vegetables.

I just lost 14 lbs in seven weeks while eating at a 1000 calorie per day deficit. Exactly as CICO predicts (could not have done it without MFP). Yes, CICO works. But the numbers are not going to match up every single day. Lots of undulations in my chart; I did not lose exactly 2/7 of a lb every day. Gotta be that "lots of…

johnnylew , try posting this: "CICO: Myth or Legend?"

To be honest, I think Fitbit overstates the exercise calories

After two years of maintenance, I found myself 10 lbs over weight. Because I am extremely impatient, I am going 1600 to 2400 calories, with 1000 - 1200 exercise calories, so a net of 600 to 1400 calories. It's not easy; it takes discipline but it works.

My first goal was 205. Long before I got there, I knew it was too high, so I moved it down to 185 (184 - 188). I've been there for six months, and it's a smidge too high. So I just moved it to 182.5 (181 - 185). It seems like micro managing my weight, and it is, but it works for me. Those 2.5 extra lbs make a difference in…

For me, a semi-fast is 400 calories for breakfast and lunch combined (a banana for breakfast, banana and protein bar for lunch), whereas my normal breakfast and lunch combined is 1100 calories. Oh, and welcome Miss Karne! Laughing at trolls is a big part of the hobby!

You're welcome.

OP here. One day after the binge, I ate at maintenance and weighed exactly the same. I guess the lesson is, you can't make predictions over the short term -- too many variables out of your control and knowledge.

i was fully hydrated at the time of all weigh-ins, and we're dealing with a non-gain, not a gain of weight. So I don't think it regards water retention. Not trying to be a smart alec, but this is a real world occurrence and I find it kind of interesting.

It is real world. Today is the sixth day....

I eat the same thing every day. Grilled pork, skinless boneless chicken, steak, or fish. Half a container of Steam-In-Bag vegetables. Brown rice. Clean as can be, tasty, good leftovers. When I log, I just log as pork, regardless if it's shoulder, tenderloin, chops. Steak is logged as steak, regardless of the cut. Same for…

I never plan one, they always seem to come by accident. That's fine.

I doubt it, but it is the tastiest oil there is.

Here is my routine that resulted in a 100 lb loss in eight months: Breakfast 520 calories 115 g Frosted Mini-wheats 400 cals One cup 2% milk 120 cals Lunch 380 cals 5 oz can of tuna 100 cals (frequently have leftover meat from last night's dinner, too) 1.5 cups romaine lettuce 10 cals 2 tbsp Italian dressing 30 cals Single…

I was losing like crazy not eating back my exercise, about three lbs per week, for a couple of months. Suddenly I quit losing, for about six weeks. Then I started eating back 75% of my exercise, and I started losing 2.5 lbs per week. That's me, maybe not everybody.

If you sit around all day and then exercise for an hour, you have a sedentary life style and log the one hour of exercise. If you walk around all day for your job and don't do any exercise, you are active and don't log any exercise. Third party devices like Fitbit, etc, can get more accurate. For example, I have a desk job…

Twelve years ago I wasn't fat, I had four girl friends, and my nickname was Rico (as in Rico Suave).
