  • Hi Gosh that sounds a lot! Can you really keep up that intensity over the long term? Maybe one day just leisurely walking! One thing an experienced fitness trainer said to me was weight loss is 75% food and 25% exercise so both are important but tons of exercise will stimulate your appetite.. Good luck though on your…
  • Hi Yes be careful about eating too little - 1500 cals good but if you want to burn more do more exercise. One tip is eat more greens like big bowls of brocolli or Kale or Cauliflower as it gets the whole digestive system going and working well. Good luck!
  • Hi I read research that said the fake sugar in diet drinks is not only bad for you but it has the same effect as sugar in that it stimulates appetite. I go to a weight watcher group and people agreed the 'fake sugar' made you crave more. I converted to 'La Criox' or any club soda with a hint of lemon or lime - really…
  • Hi I have 3 kids and know what's it like to be time constrained! As you get closer to your goal weight I do think you need exercise for that added boost as you have less than 10lbs to go. I am struggling to loose my last 5 lbs but now I took up running and so much more time efficient. Just run out your door, run for 45…
  • Hi I so agree in fact my cycle is 2 weekly - water weight for period and then 2 weeks later water weight for ovulation but the weight always comes off the second week. So weekly weight loss is normally - plus 0.5lbs, down 2.5 lbs, plus 0.5lbs, down 2.5lbs so overall am loosing a 1 lb a week but not consistent although like…
  • Hi You sound like me! Honestly stuck at 170 lbs for so long (5ft 6 inches). Really though I ate healthily too. Using MFP I have lost 20lbs and am now 150lbs - on track to loose my last 10lbs by 1st May. How I finally did it - I log everything I put in my mouth - my goal is to eat 1400 cals a day. I then do an hour of…

  • Hi I joined weight watchers, a really fun group and the weigh in each week really gives you accountability. I am new to Colorado so have no friends and it's a great support plus we all share tips on healthy eating. 1) Soup- buy low sodium and then as it is warming in the pan throw in any frozen veg to bulk up - results in…

  • Yes..me too! On top of feeling hungry, cramps in tummy and legs add to the misery! Yesterday I felt like I wanted to eat all day long - I tried to fill up on crunchy things that took longer to eat. Carrots, Pretzels and naked popcorn and lots of mugs of peppermint tea. Even then reckoned I ate 2500 so 1000 over my normal…
  • Hi I agree - way too much exercise. I went a boot camp run by the guy who advised for the 'biggest loser'. He said that he gets so angry when he sees very overweight people doing weights. The biggest danger is the weight itself which needs to get knocked off. My advise - knock the weight off FIRST then tone and build…

  • Hi I go to my weight watchers meeting on a Saturday morning and if I have lost a pound or more that week then i head straight to wholefoods (next door) and buy myself a fresh bunch of flowers!
  • Hi I'm a Brit and been in the U.S. for 4 years. Since arriving here weight crept on and ended up being 30lbs overweight. I think weight gain down to getting used to HUGE portions they serve here and adding sugar to EVERYTHING. I joined weight watchers - just to get weighed once a week and that helped me lose 16lbs - now to…
