I'm 4ft11in and I currently weigh 117. I'm 54 years old. My highest weight was about 168 about 15 years ago. I lost 50 lbs doing Weight Watchers and kept it off for quite a while. I am also a runner. My weight crept back up to 143 and at the beginning of 2014 I decided to do something about it. I started watching my…

I'm 54 and last year I lost about 27 lbs and reshaped my body by doing youtube videos, so it can be done. The key is to make small changes and try not to get overwhelmed. Don't try to do too much at once, do what feels right to you. Feel free to add me if you want some support.

Friend request sent. Like others said - set small goals so it does not feel so overwhelming. Also make changes slowly, again so it doesn't get overwhelming. You will get there and we're here to support you!

Yes, my nose runs when I run, too. It does have something to do with an increase in heart rate because when I do other types of strenuous exercise it runs also, yet I can walk at a normal pace and no problems. I just shove a few tissues in my pants/shorts when I go out for a run.

Sorry, I can't be of any help, but I'm wondering the exact same thing. I'm very interested in what others recommend.

First HM in 2006. I finished in about 2:36 and weighed about 130. Don't worry so much about time unless there is a cutoff. It is just great that you are out there doing it!

Also if you are weighing at different times of day, i.e., morning vs night, there will be differences.
