  • I've been vegan for a year! Add me :)
  • 20, junior, from California :)
  • I seriously love this stuff. To me, it tastes like the peanut butter in a Reese's cup.
  • How about a protein smoothie instead of a slimfast shake? You can add a banana and/or some kind of nut butter for extra calories.
  • Same here. Lo Loestrin Fe, but I only take the active pills. Haven't noticed any side effects. I was put on it for my ovarian cysts, staying on it to help with endometriosis. I've also tried ortho tricyclin. I gained a bunch of weight. Only plus was that it worked wonders for my acne.
  • Peanut or any other kind of nut butter I only allow raw almonds, no other kind of nut Nutella Pasta Cereals Cream cheese Jam Butter Cookies/desserts Trail mix Any kind of salty snack in a bag, from chips to pretzels to crackers Ice cream Hot cocoa mix Certain kinds of bread Starting to not allow protein bars and cheese
  • I'm 5'2". My goal is 100-105
  • I've been diagnosed with a bunch of different digestive disorders over the last 6 years, IBS being one of them. I totally understand the constant stomach aches, even from drinking a bit of water. It can make you feel crazy sometimes! I've been on a few IBS forums and one thing I commonly saw was a low FODMAP diet. This…
  • Yes, 1000mg = 1g. But sodium in food isn't measured in grams. So I'm failing to see your point?
  • I like meat but I do go vegetarian for about 6 months or more at a time. It all depends on my body. Once the weather gets warmer/hot I seem to naturally eat more "vegetarian" fare without even thinking about it. It's just lighter when it's so hot outside. Otherwise I will go vegetarian for medical reasons, and even vegan…
  • Your body can certainly retain water, such as if your sodium intake is too high. It really depends on the person. If you are staying properly hydrated, you really shouldn't worry to much about retaining water. And you weigh more at night because of all you have ingested during the day.
  • Depends on my workout. If I'm going to the gym to lift: 1) iPod shuffle 2) Sport watch 3) Workout log (I write down all exercises for the day, all sets/reps/weight#) 4) Nike Frees If I'm just going for a run: 1) Garmin Forerunner (or I may just take my sport watch if I know the route already) 2) Mizuno Wave Creations 3)…
  • Although I don't go to the gym in the morning (maybe 10-11 AM at the earliest) am I the only person who doesn't brush my teeth in the morning? I see no point in brushing my teeth before I eat breakfast. What, is my coffee going to be offended by my breath? I only brush my teeth at night, if there is something stuck between…
  • I have enough shorts/shirts/sports bras for a week of workouts, so they're worn and washed. The only time I'd wear something previously worked out in is if I forgot to do laundry . But those days I try to avoid the gym and just go for a run outside (and try to outrun the flies  )
  • Practically anyone has/can get stretch marks. I have them on my boobs, hips, and thighs. My boyfriend looks like a tiger, as he has them all over his back, some on arms/shoulders, legs, butt, etc (he lifts weights and is currently in a bulking phase). I totally understand how you can feel self-conscious about your stretch…
  • Again it varies by person. Some people think that aspartame or any artificial sweetener is pure poison so they avoid it. I'm a fan of crystal light because it helps me drink enough water. One packet for 3 cups is perfect. Two little packets of crystal light per day isn't going to harm you. Now if you had like 200 packets…
  • I count it, but in a different way. The diuretic effect in a cup of tea or coffee isn't "significant" enough to make you dehydrated. It's still water. But say I drank two 8oz cups of coffee, I'd only count 1 cup of water. It's really up to you. Some people are strict and say only "pure", calorie-free water counts. I…
  • My hands and feet. I'm a 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, but I also have some training in Ju Jitsu and Aikido. Simply hurting or restraining someone is easy, but I can also paralyze/knock out someone if needed from hitting certain pressure points. But I'd like to buy a taser, as there's only so much a 5'2" girl can do.
  • My partner is 7 years older than me (19/26). We get along perfectly. For whatever reason I just can't relate to guys that are my age. My dad is 7 years older than my mom. My paternal grandpa was 8 years older than my paternal grandma.
  • My grandpa told me that if you got too close to pool drains, it would suck in your hair and you'd drown. Apparently this is because of the way the old drains were made, but even today there are stories of children sitting on drains and having their intestines sucked out. I will not touch or go near pool (or spa) drains…
  • Do anything to distract yourself. Go for a walk, read a book, anything to take your mind off it. Have some hot tea or drink water - it will fill your stomach and you won't be hungry. Chewing gum helps too, as you get the flavor and feeling you are eating. It usually removes my "snacky" feelings from boredom. Paint your…
  • 1. Enough food is already produced to feed everyone in the world. http://www.worldhunger.org/articles/Learn/world%20hunger%20facts%202002.htm#Does_the_world_produce_enough_food_to_feed_everyone 2. • I concur with HonkyTonks. A single 24 fast isn't going to hurt you. However, if you are new to fasting, you might want to start slow (14 hours, 16 hours, 18 hours) and see how you feel from there.

  • Both. Trader Joe's has lower prices, and I shop there most often. But I will sometimes go to WF for their meats, coffee & tea, and gluten-free items.
  • Books, underthings, and workout gear. Gotta workout to look good in the underthings...
  • Forget about the scale so much, look at how your clothes are fitting/take your measurements. Something similar happened to me a year ago - I started a new fitness routine, was eating healthily, busting my butt doing workouts, and after a month I had only lost 1lb. However, I had also lost about 6 inches overall. Stick with…
  • To be honest, it was because of my boyfriend that I changed from a "gym when I feel like it" person to a "gym every day" person. This was when we were first meeting each other - and I would go to the gym much more often just so I could see him  Now we are both gym regulars and fitness-orientated. Both of our…
  • Coffee and Coke Zero. I can do just fine without a morning cup of coffee, I just love love love the taste.
  • Tall or Grande Caffe Misto, usually with sugar-free vanilla. If nonfat, it's 60 cals for tall, 70 for grande. If 2%, it's 80 for tall and 110 for grande. Misto = Starbucks name of cafe au lait. 1/2 coffee, 1/2 steamed milk.
