I agree that there is tough temptation when going to fast food joints. No matter what I order I feel like anything healthy has soaked up the grease and desperation in the air. Plus I kinda feel that ordering a salad from McDonald's is a bit like asking a *kitten* for a hug . . . . But meh we all just do the best we can…

I agree. I am not in any way qualified to make nutritional or excercise recomendations, but the key for me has been to constantly switch up my routine, both eating and excercise. It confuses the heck out of my body and it has no clue what is going on. I always stay under my BMR but I vary my calorie intake between 200-700…

I never thought I would be able to lose 3 lbs let alone over 30 so far! I never thought I would look forward to working out as a de-stresser! I never thought I would love the feel of burning muscles!

In place of one cup of boiling water, I mix a 6 oz cup of plain greek yogurt with any sugar-free jello, and cool until set in the fridge. Tastes like a dessert custard. Yummy!

For me, I will never have a thigh gap. My legs simply weren't made that way. I used to have a hardcore Pepsi addiction too. I would go through 5 or more cans a day. I quit cold turkey and the headaches were horrible! Now though, even if I take a sip of soda it is just too sweet for me. Water with Crystal light is my drink of choice. Kudos to you! :)

I think that everyone has valid points. There is no singular one fix for weight loss. If there were we'd all be models! But the basic principles of making healthier choices and watching your calories rings true. Then just tweak your diet accordingly to what your body responds best to.

I know it will be a long journey for me, and I completely agree that I also tend to feel a bit more connected with people who are going through the same long-term struggle as I am. I quit Pepsi cold turkey a little over 3 weeks ago, and I was a hardcore fan too. Over a 2 liter a day! It WAS my coffee lol The headaches will pass (mine were bad) in about 7-10 days then your body will have adjusted. I'm so sorry, cuz I know how much they hurt. :frown:
