  • Hi! I am feeling the same. To get over this, I'm thinking of tweaking the exercise a little bit. I'm going to add in some strength training and change up the exercise routine just enough to give the body a bit of a shock. For example, I run 3 times a week.. instead of a stead run, I'm going to do interval training and…
  • Welcome to MFP! This site has helped me when nothing else seemed to work. It's hard and cumbersome in the beginning, but stick with it and I promise it'll pay off! But more importantly, aside from sticking to your calories, you need to exercise. While biking once to twice a week, try adding in another fitness regime and…
  • Hi All! I'm back from vacation and just thought I'd update you on my status! I followed my plan as best as I could. I weighed myself before I left, I worked out 3 times while I was away, and did plenty of walking, I tried to eat as healthy as I could (I skipped carbs at dinner and just had protein and veggies, I tried to…
  • That's amazing! Great job!
  • Mmm... sounds great! Thanks for sharing! Definitely going to try it!
  • i'm in the same boat. I don't tell anyone my starting weight. I tell them how much I've lost and if they ask how much I'm hoping to lose, I say "alot".. that's it. They don't need to know that.

  • Don't let his narrow-mindedness hinder your progress. You know you're beautiful and you know you're awesome for taking control of your body.. that's all the validation you need. The jerk probably has never committed to anything or worked as hard in his life as you have, be proud of yourself for that! Stupid people make…

  • well you're definitely in the right place! Welcome!
  • 100-150 is not a big deal at all, just make sure you don't do it on a regular basis and you should be ok. :) Go out and enjoy yourself!
  • I'm going on vacation in less than a month too and was wondering the same thing. I'm going to an all-inclusive resort which will make controlling eating and drinking VERY hard. My plan was to utilize the resort's gym and keep up with my running regime... which will allow me to relax a bit when it comes to food & drinks.…
  • I went out for dinner last night and researched the restaurants nutritional information before going to make sure I picked healthy. Not sure if it was a typo or if that's what it actually was.. but there's no way that a Baked Seven Cheese Ravioli was 490 cals only! When everything else on the menu was 1000+ calories! I…
  • Goodluck! You can do it! Just believe in yourself and trust that any effort you put in is putting you one step closer in the right direction. It WILL work, it just takes time... Best of luck!

  • I personally haven't done a ton of home workouts, but have friends who did P90X and got amazing results. Another home workout you can try is Zumba. It's a cross between salsa dancing and aerobics, so you don't feel like it's a chore and have a great time doing it! I am doing a Zumba class, not the home workout, but they…
  • That's a great attitude! You can do it! :)

  • Hi! I'm trying to lose about 70 lbs myself. I've lost 19 so far (8 since I started on MFP). I haven't noticed a huge change physically yet (maybe I'm just not very observant or maybe cuz I have to look at myself everyday), but others have told me that I look thinner and I definitely notice a spike in my energy level. I…
  • Congrats! What a great story!
  • Drink more water in between meals.. that helps to keep you feeling full and not think about food. You also need to change your mindset about food. Think of food as fuel, you wouldn't gas your car for the sake of gassing your car.. you feed your body because you need to. And this site helped me curb a lot of mindless…
