  • True! The next person loves wine, like me! :)
  • Sigh... looking at my old before and after photos... I've moved countries and done a lot of travelling in the past 3 years. I've also been inactive for about a year nursing a knee injury. Finally got that fixed and back in action. But sadly I now look closer to the before picture... long way to go to get that after back!!!
  • Oh that sounds amazing! Grapefruit fan here! Nothing to do with trying to lose weight, just love it.
  • What is so wrong with strong thighs? Strong thighs are beautiful! I love my big thighs and I wouldn't have it any other way. Would I be able to back squat 88kilos if I had a thigh gap? Doubtful! Embrace the body you are working hard to achieve! Don't stop because your jeans are getting too tight! I'm sorry, but I hate how…
  • I'm so sit of all these articles acting like rhabdomyolysis is a common occurance with people who go to Crossfit. Are you kidding me? This article is a load of crap and is not "really good and informative" in any way. When did you ever learn about that term? I highly doubt it was because someone you know doing Crossfit was…
  • You do realize calling yourself a knob for doing something silly is a thing? She didn't spell noob wrong (which actually isn't a real word), she spelled knob correctly. I digress... what everyone else said. And when you work out, log that and eat those calories as well. You'll get the hang of it!
  • Not true, depends on the density of the item. Just google it! I always google things like "How many grams in 1 cup of flour" or How many grams in 1 T butter."
  • Haha, I wish! There are heaps of Aussies on here! Feel free to add this Aussie American! :D
  • It would help to answer this better if your food diary was open, but I'm a strong believer that the goal is meant to be met, not meant to be under and not meant to be over - met! Obviously you aren't going to get smack dab on the calories every day but you should aim to be within 100 calories either way of the goal if…
  • All you need to do is finish it off with some liquorish! lol
  • Oh the possibilities are endless... You can use it as a sub for mayo, creme fresh, butter, oil, cream cheese, sour cream, etc in many recipes... here's a guide: http://media-cache-ec3.pinterest.com/550x/65/fb/76/65fb769bd6c98614ae8f47f38d2b9b07.jpg I like to mix a scoop of my flavored protein powder in my Greek yogurt for…
  • I eat a lot of eggs too! I didn't say eggs cause high cholesterol, unhealthy fats like the fat found in bacon does! Eggs may be high in cholesterol, but I've done lots of research on it and have found many studies that suggest they don't CAUSE high cholesterol. And also, everyone is different and different genetics make…
  • Word - I did a super low carb week for like a week and I happened to have a blood test at the end of that week. 25 and borderline high cholesterol - not good! I still limit my carbs, but I don't indulge in bacon and fatty meats! I eat healthy, lean proteins most of the time and get my fat from nuts, olive oil, avocado,…
  • I think you might just be a little confused on the way myfitnesspal works - I find that a lot of people do at first so don't feel bad. When you set it up and you say, I want to "lose 2 lbs per week," MFP sets you up with a calorie goal that is ALREADY at a deficit that will likely help you lost 2 lbs per week. So you are…
  • I also buy 2.5 dozen fresh eggs from the farmers market most Sunday's and hard boil about a half a dozen right away. I don't really think freshness makes a difference (in regards to suggestions of using old eggs), but I do think better quality, farm fresh eggs might be easier to peel. :)
  • I do basically the same thing, but I usually only let them boil until I notice they are boiling! I also add a little white vinegar to the water as it aids in peeling. Also, transfer to an ice bath after 10 minutes. :) They always come out perfecto!
  • Why wouldn't HRM be accurate with strength training??? Never heard that before and I don't see why that would be... :ohwell: I wouldn't bother with machines or MFP if you want something accurate. Your heart rate, age, weight, height are all recorded in your HRM to give you the most accurate burn. Obviously it's not going…
  • Thanks dear, so happy to inspire! MFP has been a huge factor in my success! I've still got a little bit more toning and fat loss to go as my size view isn't quite so flattering, but it does feel good to be happy in the skin you're in! Hope to help you to your goal!
  • Haha that's gold! Thanks for the laugh! And thanks for the kind words to everyone!
  • Happy to inspire! It's really not too hard if you think of it as a lifestyle change and not a diet! :)
  • Thanks girl... I do Pump classes at least once usually twice a week. I recently started a boot camp as well, so I definitely do a lot of strength training as well as cardio.
  • Glad to help! I've been through the disappointment too many times to count! And believe me, I still do! It's very frustrating, especially when you've set yourself a goal weight that seems like it should be achievable and you just can't get there... it's like swimming laps and constantly chasing that never ending black line…
  • Thanks! Hehe... it's actually polka dot so I finally get to rock the itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini!
  • Haha! Agreed! Ugh... Thank you! :)
  • I'm 5'5! I have my net set to about 1350 calories and I eat my exercise calories back! Most days I'm eating about 1800 calories. I try to get at least 30% protein and limit my carbs to 40% and most days I meet that goal. :)
  • I followed the weight watchers guidelines but I didn't go to the meetings - they actually don't let you unless you are a certain amount overweight, which I find annoying. Anyways, to me, I think (besides the meetings) it's basically the same thing as this. Rather than counting calories, fat, protein, etc, you are counting…
  • Not sure this is the right site to be asking that question... after all, this is a FITNESS website and most people who have read this are shaking their heads in disgust... This ridiculous site is probably more your style... http://www.skinnygossip.com/
  • I completely disagree with this, but to each their own. In my opinion, this is not healthy practice nor is it sound advice.
  • I mean it's really hard to say - it is much easier to lose the first bit of weight than the last bit. I've been hovering around the same weight for almost a year now and I've been aiming to lose a pound a week which clearly isn't happening. With that said, I went from lifting no weight and barely ever exercising to working…
  • The challenge has begun! Make sure you send me your beginning weigh in and measurements! :D Good luck!
