  • How is everyone doing today? While the group is growing only 3-6 people have been participating in commenting on the blogs or with each other. I will try to keep this group going, but if I don't find better participation, I am going to have to close this group as I feel that I am not giving you what you guys are looking…
  • You are quite welcome, KSOLDOTCOM. How is everything going?
  • Because I am visually seeing the changes as well as others telling me of the changes they are seeing, gives me incentive to stick with this way of eating. I won't have to worry once I hit goal because I don't look at high carb food:noway: s the same way anymore. They no longer trigger me. This could be because I am trying…
  • I have to continually "tweak" my RDI, as I lose weight. I try to stay with it for at least 30 days before changing it. Right now, I am at 5% Carbs, 27% Proteins and 65% Fat. Have you set up your RDI's and or used the calculator found on this site to see where yours should be?
  • I, myself use to always let the scale dictate to me. I use to get very frustrated at what I thought was hard work, only to find out that the scale did not reciprocate my efforts. Water weight, muscle is not something you can measure on a scale. The scale continuously fluctuates throughout the day. I have learned not to let…
  • While I find that it will take some time for people to "warm" up to eating more fat. Dieting, eating low fat, not feeling full and always being hungry for either a snack or a meal should be an eye opener. What are your thoughts?
  • I, myself thought that her journey is one that everyone probably goes through at one point or another. While it took her a year, she was more concerned of completing 1 day, and reaching the end of the day, where she could say "I made it." I found her way of looking at how she accomplished her goal and the suggestions she…
  • I did not do to good yesterday. Ate too many pecan nuts.
  • Hi Amy, I have had mine for approximately mid-June of this year. How is everything going with you. I am hoping that the group will come together more often so that we can get to know each other and to encourage and motivate one another. But I can only do so much. Will see how it goes in the next few weeks. Have a great…
  • I find that I can blow into my Ketonix Breathalyzer and get to RED within the 15 seconds blowing time. I think by keeping my carbs really low and fasting for 16-17 hours puts me in a better position too. Will try this for the next two weeks and see how I do.:drinker:

  • Me too. Last week I noticed a rash. I don't know what this rash is from, and I have been having the hive like itch all over my body. I have to take an allergy pill to counteract it. The rash seems like it is going away, but it seems like it appeared out of no-where. Before when I drank "crystal light" that gave me the hive…
  • Sorry that you are have bad weather, and are bogged down with marking papers, but a girl has got to do what a girl has to do (smile). You know the plan is working when you no longer feel those hunger pangs like before. That is a definite sign that you are working the program. Enjoy the rest of your day and hang in there!
  • "I’ll eat like this until I’ve lost weight, then I can go back to eating normal.":embarassed: Have you ever said that to yourself? Well you need to listen to this podcast. http://talkfeed.co.za/lost-weight/?utm_content=bufferbcf7c&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer

  • Recipe came out pretty good, taste like bread, but next time I will add a pinch of salt to give it a little taste. I had my blood labs done today, hoping to see a difference once I get them back. Glad to know that your production went well, and am sorry you all got overworked. Get some much needed rest and I hope everyone…
  • Well, I can say I did really well yesterday. I blew a "red" on my Ketonix so I know that I am in the fat burning mode. I am going to try a new recipe called "Low Carb Adison Bread. 1 egg 2T Coconut flour 1/4 tsp of Baking powder 1T Heavy Cream 1T Butter Mix all the dry stuff together than mix it in with the wet…
  • Hi Portia: The only way to start LCHF is to jump right in. No more than 20g Total Carbs per day, cut out the fruit juices, careful on the nuts and you should be good to go. Get yourself some Virgin coconut oil and add that (1 Tablespoon) to your coffee or tea (this is how you are upping your fats). Good Fats will make you…
  • 409Cancleanmy: Glad that you are doing better, try adding coconut oil to your tea/coffee to get the added calories. Amytrue1: I too make my menu available to the group, so that is a very good idea. I have been checking around on the net about the weight loss process on this way of eating and the consensus is everyone seems…
  • Hi Dublin: Nice to chat with you and look forward to meeting all the others in the group soon too. It looks like you are doing very well considering the amount of carbs that you intake daily. So if you are satisfied with the inches lost and because this type of eating is more of a "fat loss" then it is a "weight loss"…
