I looked at the ingredients on Quest bars, tweaked it and make my own. Much cheaper and you know exactly what's in it.

Yes, PT mentioned caliper accuracy depends on the person using the caliper while InBody depends on time of day and hydration and caffeine intake on that day. IMO clothes fit is more accurate than anything :-) Thanks everyone for all the input. Happy Friday! :-)

Ahhh :-) I'm sore from tip of my hair :-) to my toes and it's been 2 weeks. This is the reason why I started thinking of BCAA, pre-post stuff.. perhaps it will help with the soreness in addition to hot/cold therapy. :-)

Thank you. I'm 5"0' very petite. And have been within the range of 93-95lbs at most I'd say 103.5-104 for 24 years. This is my baseline and what's normal for me. During those years however, I wasn't watching what I eat (highly processed food) and my running and cycling is not consistent. When I turned 40 and type 2 DM…

8% is not a typo :-) per caliper measurement and Inbody :-)

Thanks! Will check it out! @eric_sg61 Totally agree! I'm having a hard time getting enough protein and sometimes protein shake is a great go to in between meeting and such! Will check out the link. Thanks! ☺

Veggie and herb garden. Have dill, basil, parsley, tarragon, cilantro. Peppers are growing.. gardening is very therapeutic! :)

It is hard for me to keep track of little things while going about my business. Sometimes I'd grab a cracker with tiny block of cheese on top or add creamer to my coffee in meetings then forget. I addressed this issue by not eating back calories from my workout and outdoor activities. It is a great buffer! :-)

Awesome! Keep up the great job! What an inspiration!

Moving to another city from NY where I get at least 3 miles of walking daily to and from the subway and meetings, changing to management/sedentary job, outdoor activities came to a halt (I struggled to get back to my outdoor sports down here in TX). And, turning 40 when all this came down. I can't prove the latter is the…

Jello, froyo.. I make my own popsicle-- I freeze coconut juice, fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc (pick your fave fruit mixed with club soda or electrolyte water)..

No skipping meals for me . Simple reason-- I get light headed, shaky, clammy, tachycardic, anxious, massive headache. Impending doom-- very unpleasant.

C My PT did a caliper measurement. According to online articles caliper assessment is the most accurate. I'm not sure about the "most accurate" since it is done by individuals and result may vary depending on how each person use the caliper. Anyhoo, I was waiting for my SO finish his last post-op consult. I wandered around…

Hot and cold compress. Hot bath. Rest (most effective). I started taking metabolic/recovery supplement couple of weeks ago. I rode 20 miles on two consecutive days this week after winter break. I normally get sore from 40 miles ride after a long break. I noticed I wasn't sore. I still rested yesterday though.

Hi there, Start working more if not already on your core (back, hips, abdominals, obliques, everything that connects your arms, legs, neck, and head). You generate effective stroke and techniques from your core when kayaking. I run 6 miles every 2-3 days, cycle 20 miles in between and 4 hours of kayaking on weekends (at…

From nutritional stand point, MY body is getting less nutrition from refined grains. Hence, it is less healthy as opposed to whole grains. Further, I get blood sugar spike (I'm type 2 diabetic) to refined grains which is a negative response. Overall, refined grains is less healthy if not at all healthy for me. :)

Nutritional content in my book.

I live on oatmeal. This wonderful whole grain keeps me full, stabilize my blood sugar and simply delish! I add chia and hemp seeds or almond sliver, blueberries, ceylon cinnamon. Sometimes walnuts instead of almonds and goji berries. Super versatile whole grain that takes any flavor you add. Just read PB-- sounds yummy!…

Grains are not created equal. Whole grains are healthy. Refined grains are less healthy.
