29, PCOS, beating it! Add me if you like. I can say that the biggest impetus in my weight loss wasn't just calorie restriction- it was moving my body more, going GLUTEN FREE, bathing my innards with vitamins, and restricting carbs in general. It is my belief that medication is not needed to treat PCOS except in extreme…

I love this because I have done it before, and as long as it's not habitual, I find no shame in it. I just don't log it :) I'm an unashamed lover of alcohol. Yesss...! Wouldn't life be grand if we could all be a little bit buzzed all the time? I think people would love each other more and fight less.

Truth. I'm reading this book by a nutritionist. Smaller meals more frequently DO help stabilize blood sugar (thereby not causing your body to store extra calories as fat)/ http://www.amazon.com/PCOS-Diet-Plan-Approach-Polycystic/dp/158761023X

Vodka + soda water. Best bang for your buck. Very few calories compared to beer, and you're not putting any artificial sugars into your body. Now, drinking at all isn't great for you, but if you're going to drink anyway, go for clear liquors with mixers that aren't loaded with sugar (calories). Add a lime twist for extra…

This was enough inspiration for me to add the 30 Day Shred dvd to my Amazon.com cart!

Count me in among the binge eaters! I also have low self esteem, but it's definitely improving- thereby causing my choices in life to get better. Funny how that all goes hand in hand... Please feel free to add me on MFP. The last few months, I've become really fired up about learning how to control my PCOS, support other…

Add me if you want! My starting weight wasn't far from your current weight, and I can easily get discouraged just by being around others who can eat what they want without the food affecting their body the way it does ours (PCOS gals). Remember- slow and steady wins the race!

You can add me! PCOS is my affliction in life as well.

Holding fat in your belly is also the result of simply being a woman. Estrogen dominance causes us to store fat around the middle and in your thighs. A low glycemic "diet" (or rather food choices- i.e., low carb and sugar) can help with that. Also, strength training will tone your body. You might not lose weight, but…

Love. Love her. Want to be her.

Amazing! Beautiful! REALLY close to my starting weight and my goal- now I know what I have to look forward to! I'm 1/3 of the way there.

<3 bacon. To quote Ron Swanson of "Parks and Recreation": Give me all the bacon and eggs you have.

Fantastic progress! Keep it up- you're going to just continue to feel better and better :)

Pizza, definitely. All kinds of pizza, but especially the prosciutto olive flatbread pizza described here: http://www.gcfb.net/menu3_flatbread_pizzas.aspx

For a while last fall, I was seeing a personal trainer. He advised me on nutrition as well, and said that our bodies can really only break down about 400ish calories in a sitting- anymore beyond that has the potential to turn into fat if not burned off right away. If I were you, I'd split up your recommended calories…

This definitely does happen to me as well! However, it is most apparent for me during my period. I either metabolize things more quickly, or maybe it's because when you menstruate, your body naturally releases hormones that relax your muscles (to alleviate cramps), and doing so also relaxes the muscles in your GI tract.…
