I too used to be in the 300's and was ecstatic to get to the 200's. Now I'd like to ditch those too and get to the 100's. Been struggling for a couple years to get there. Weighed in at 220.9 today. Losing much more slowly now though so I'm not going to set a huge goal. I think I'll try for 215 for that timeframe - sounds…

You have done amazing and look awesome! You inspire me to keep at it and get to the finish line!

I'm just under 5'9" (probably like 5'8" and a half) and will be 47 in June. 1) How much do you weigh at the moment? As of this morning 214.5 (started at 319 and have been as low as 198 about a year ago, but have been struggling for the past little while to get and stay on track.) 2) How much would you like to weigh?…

Just a pic. I kinda like how the hearts are lined up now - but I still gotta get it to the end, only about 70% of the way there now.

This guy looks like he's on a ride at the fair. Or a see saw maybe. Lol!

Dude you made me lol. We have the same goal - well the 160 lb thing, not the wife thing. I don't roll that way. But that's what I wanna lose - 160 lbs - that'll be half of me!

Around this: 117 pounds = an average fashion model (and she’s 5’11”) or this: 118 pounds = the complete Encyclopedia Britannica or this: 120 pounds = amount of trash you throw away in a month Just depends on the day. Today I'm at the middle one. But I'm trying to get to this one: 150 pounds = the complete Oxford English…

What a cute story! But you need to buy yourself some new tops to go with the hot jeans - your top is way too big, lol! I live in jeans other than for work (hate dress clothes!) I have the exact same jeans in that colour and a couple of other colours as well - I love em! Keep rockin' em!

I have about 40 more to go, but I have had some success so far. Lost it very, very slowly. It's been 3 years so far. But feel free to add me, if you wish.

OK, nevermind. I don't know how to put photos, so...

Yep about $4 here in Canada. But everything costs a lot here.

I'm hoping to get to the Complete Oxford English Dictionary!
-
Ooh, now I've lost the complete Encyclopedia Britannica! I think I'm making progress, lol!

Hey, I'm 45 - so does that make me cool enough for all you cool kids!?!
-
That looks good - must try it one of these days. Thanks for posting!

Congrats! Well done! I've got that on my to-do list - got the app, but working on C25K first to work myself up to it. Admittedly, not a runner. But perhaps I can become one.

My strategy has been to keep very busy in the evenings - run, aquacise, errands, housecleaning, bike, walk in the park with a friend, etc. I do something every night to fill up those evening hours. Then when I get home, I'm usually sufficiently tired to go to bed earlier than in the past, when I would sit in front of the…

You have made an awesome transformation in a relatively short time! Congrats and great work - your group will all be trying to keep up with you next summer!

Wow, you look great! Well done!

Just set yourself a goal to lose one pound. If you can lose one pound, (whether it takes you half a week, one week, or even two weeks) and you see that you can do that, then you just have to repeat it 100 times. Maybe it will take you 100 weeks or 150 weeks or even 200 weeks. But a year or two from now, won't you wish you…

When I first started I had about 160 or so (I'm still not quite sure of my final goal, I'll see when I get there) to lose and have lost 107 so far. What helped me was setting small goals. The next ten or twenty to get to the next round number. Right now my goal is 199, so the small amount to get there doesn't seem so…

You have a GREAT attitude! I have no doubt you will get where you want to be! Congrats on the success so far and best wishes on your continued journey!

This thread is so inspirational! I am anxiously awaiting the day that I will experience some of these things for myself. I too want to have collarbones and hip bones and a jawline. And one day I will wear normal sized clothes and maybe even have some muscle definition. Can't wait!!! Thanks for the motivation!

I'm 5'8" or so and I was over 300 when I started. I've probably lost a lot slower than most, but it was never a race for me. I started off by walking and just increased gradually over time. Later, I added biking, hiking, running intervals, circuit, strength, etc. I just keep finding new/different things to add or try and…

On my tenth week on MFP, I lost 6.4 pounds. But that was over two years ago when I still had like 130 or so left to lose. Overall, I've averaged 0.8 pounds a week since I started (April 3, 2011.)

I would love to take part in that. My first challenge on here was a Christmas challenge (back in 2011) and it really helped me kick it into high gear!
-
Great suggestions - gives me ideas to try, as I'm not such a great cook.

You look great! Congrats on your success - I know it took a lot of determination and discipline to get there. I can't wait to get there myself - I have decided that it will be this year!
