@DanSanthomes thanks. This is super helpful. I agree it’s been hard (more mentally than anything to “hit” the right number. Trying to focus more on weekly averages than anything.

I lost about 25 pounds a while ago, and then found my weight loss completely stalled before the last 10. I ended up just staying at maintenance, because I was pretty happy with my new weight. That was about six years ago. Recently, I decided to go at the extra 10 again. It was slow going and frustrating, but I did it (it…

I wish my SO would take an interest in tho stuff (mostly because it would make it easier for me). I think it’s great that your husband wants to take action if he feels he needs to. I think it’s fine if you both take on different approaches. I know I’ve had to figure out what works for me - you probably have too - and he…

1. I find the social aspects of food the most challenging. It’s difficult to track accurately when you’re going out/eating at a friend’s house. I also find this ties into finding a good mindset - I don’t want to avoid socializing in pursuit of keep my diet “perfect” so it’s been a bit of a challenge to find a healthy…

I just wanted to say it really sucks that this thread has turned into a debate over what’s healthy or not for someone else’s body (likely someone you’ve never met). Everyone is different. BMI can be a flawed measurement. Different people feel good or are healthy at different weights. Let’s keep this forum supportive!

Thanks all for the inspiration. I bought a canoe this weekend, so I think that will help with the summer exercise!

I like craft beer, so I drink it. I just log it and drink less of it. I find alternating drinks with water is super helpful, and also having a game plan when I go out (ie: I have x number of calories left today, so that means I can drink x number of beers). Or planning a healthy eating day if I know I want to go out. Or…

And today, I did this.

Thanks all! @kommodevaran Your loss and maintenance is inspiring! I've been super inconsistent about many things for the past month (too busy), so I'm trying to build back some of the routine and disciple. Also - I definitely can eat a lot more food than I need to... but I do find that emotionally, I need to readjust what…

Hey! I’m not sure what is considered tall, but I’m 5’9” and definitely relate to the “tall girl problems” and feeling big no matter what size you are. I agree the weighing and measuring is important - and it’s what has worked for me. I find if i can eat anything, but have to count calories, I end up eating healthier…

& half my comment didn’t post. @rianneonamission trying to work on better enjoyment over mindlessly stuffing my face and feeling like garbage after. Lots of excuses this summer to enjoy life to the detriment of my progress, so this weekend is good practice. We’ll see how it goes (but there WILL be cake tonight and…

@43Ninebark day to day fluctuations are super normal. You might want to check out apps like Happy Scale (iPhone) and Libra (Android) if you want to track your daily weight as a trend.
