  • I just got mine last week and I love it. I've been playing around with the settings and no complaints. I bought mine because I don't seem to realize I'm more active than I think...I should have easily lost 5-10 lbs by this point. I think I'm not eating enough so I wanted to see what I'm actually burning instead of my…
  • Do you have a runner's store nearby? I just bought Asics and am a huge fan. I'm not a fan of Nike's, in all of my life I've had one good pair of Nike's and I spent a lot of money on that pair.
  • 40 visits sounds like you need a new chiro. 40 visits will not hurt you (might help) but if you're not comfortable with making that commitment (I wouldn't be either) find someone new who will help you and not take advantage.
  • I've pulled my groin muscle and did not have a line...just check with your doctor and let a professional tell you if it's nothing. If it's your groin muscle, good luck. It hurt for a week and I had problems sleeping it was so uncomfortable. It goes away though.
  • Night time, usually around 7 on weekdays. I wake up early as it is and can't seem to get myself out of bed. I'm not a night person by any stretch but it's better than not working out at all. Weekends, within 2 hours of waking up.
  • I think it depends on what the surgery is for...and even if it's for vanity, if it makes you comfortable in your own skin is that actually vain? I'd love to get the extra skin on my arms/stomach area removed that came from being a chubby teen who lost weight too quick. Is that vain? It's fine if you think it is but in my…
  • In a non sexual way I love you. Candy and still muscular? Amazing.
  • Abbreviations that not everyone knows what they stand for... most recent, DDP yoga.
  • I do a juice cleanse every few months if I feel I'm depending on caffeine or sugar too much. Please remember any weight you lose is usually temporary. Saying that, I work out if I have the energy. If I don't have the energy I simply don't work out. Listen to your body.
  • 1. Don't fall. 2. Am I done yet? 3. Repeat 1&2 4. Stupid bug 5. Repeat 1&2 6. Don't make eye contact, they'll see how much you're sweating 7. Repeat 1&2 8. Repeat 1&2 9. Repeat 1&2 10. I'm done...I can do more if I wanted to...right?!
  • I get the same thing but now when it happens I reposition my feet and try to use my heel. Also, I switch from forwards to backwards every 10-15 minutes...
  • Eh, I've done it. It happens. I haven't done it in a while but I definitely have said that to myself. My self sabotage trigger is someone telling me I look thin or that I have lost weight...bring on the M&M's. Handfuls. Lots of handfuls.
  • First off, congratulations on releasing 6 pounds. I have control issues so I'd have to throw out the pizza but if you can portion the leftovers out you can definitely make it work! We all mess up from time to time. Don't beat yourself up. Many of us are here because we've had issues with food. Tomorrow start new. Today is…
  • I started cycling last month, my knees are doing MUCH better. I've read that biking helps build muscle in your knees...my running has definitely gotten easier. Good luck!
  • Those little box cookies, chocolate snaps...I think Nabisco made them at the end. I loved them...my mom would buy that as my own little treat.
  • No disrespect, but if she's saying she has issues with gluten why do you tell her there is no reason to go gluten free? I agree that too many people think it's a fad but if it's bothering her stomach why should she eat it?
  • It gets really frustrating trying to explain to people why you've gone gluten free when you don't have Celiac's. It's not a fad, it's due to the reactions we get when we eat it. There are plenty of healthy subs for a gluten free life. Another poster mentioned some good ones, quinoa is great. You can still eat rice and…
  • Different brands fit differently. In Saucony I'm a 6.5 but in Nike (hate Nike) I am either a 7 or it doesn't fit. Everyone is right, get fitted. See if there is a running store nearby.
  • Feel free to add. I'm really good at keeping others' accountable...lol, maybe not too good with myself. ;)
  • 1500 calories a day seems like way too little for a guy. Good for you and when and if this stops working play around with your calories until something else works! YAY!
  • It's an awful thing to say, but that is some people for you. They don't think about what they say and how it it affects others. It sucks and is most definitely douchey. Besides being pissed off for a moment recognize some people are idiots and can't help themselves and make sure you're not the douche when talking to others.
  • Anything that is not portioned, mostly ice cream and cookies...which is why I keep neither in the house unless I'm treating myself.
  • You're not alone...most of us are here because we have fallen off the wagon (way) more than once. It happens. Sometimes you need it to make you stop and take note of what is around you. The best thing is that there is a wagon to get back on. Eating bad today, tomorrow you promise yourself to stop that. A pulled calf muscle…
  • It never suppressed my appetite. Never.
  • I tried it along with my normal exercising (4-5x week), The only thing it did is make me pee, CONSTANTLY.
  • Late to the thread but feel free to add me. Have been eating mostly (maybe 1x a week) for 3 years now. I'm pretty sure I'm just intolerant, was tested for Celiacs but made the mistake of not eating any gluten the week before my test. Anyway, good luck! It's not an easy road. I miss beer, a lot. Gluten free beer works but…
  • THIS.
  • I may have read this wrong but how many calories a day are you eating if you are eating at a 1200 calorie deficit?
  • Wow!!!! I love this. I'm 5'2" as well and trying to figure out a healthy realistic weight for myself. Technically I need to lose about 20 lbs more but it's a struggle. I work out like crazy but also eat way too much combined with a sleep eating disorder...total self sabotaging. I'm trying. Love hearing all your stories and…
