  • I'm also 49. I lost 30 lbs in 2013 by watching what I ate and exercising. Then in Sept I hurt my back. I couldn't exercise anymore and became depressed. I probably have gained almost all the weight that I worked so hard to take off back. After months of physical therapy and finally a spinal injection just last week, I feel…
  • I've had 3 c-sections and really wish I could get rid of my pouch too! Small price to pay though for having the 3 greatest loves of my life!! :)
  • Been there done that... I lost 45 pounds years ago and was looking and feeling great. Then I got pregnant with my third child and I thought the sky's the limit. I can eat whatever I want because I'm thin and it will take a long time time for the weight to add back up. Also, I'm pregnant so I'm supposed to eat more. Right?…
  • I feel your pain! I am surrounded all the time with skinny people who never need to think about every single bite they put in their mouth and i want to scream! Why can't I be normal? Why do I have to count every calorie and exercise and still sometimes the weight doesn't come off. I sometimes look at someone thin and think…
  • The best tip I have is to keep at it. Log in everyday and log your exercise and eating habits. This is the best way to keep yourself accountable. Good Luck!! P.S. You can add me as a friend if you like.

  • Don't bring them at all! You'll choke if you're sucking on one of those while running!!

  • Welcome this site is awesome! Feel free to add me!
  • When my 9 y/o daughter's teacher asked if I could come in to her class and help out with a project. My daughter was insisting that she didn't want me to go. When I asked her why, she started crying and said that she didn't want the kids to make fun of me. I promised her that night that I would lose weight and get healthy.…
  • Although I don't do the behavior in which you described, I am overweight and do a lot of mindless eating while watching t.v., etc., and not even realizing how much I have eaten. Then I feel horrible and ashamed of myself. Especially since I have kids who are learning that this is what's "normal". I have stopped but I have…
  • This is so funny because I was just going to ask the same question. I have a nasty cold was wondering if I should be resting. I feel really tired!
  • I'm new to this and had never heard of eating back your calories, but it does work! I was limiting my calories and working out hard each day and I actually gained a couple of pounds! I read about your body going into starvation mode and figured that was what was happening to me. So the next day I ate more and rested and I…
  • Don't dwell on the past. What's done is done. Focus on today. Today I will make good choices. Don't think about the total amount of weight you have to lose because it may discourage you. Just put one foot in front of the other and make good choices everyday and it will happen. If you fall down, pick yourself right back up…
  • This is so awesome to know! I was of the belief the fewer the calories the better! I've heard of your body going into starvation mode but never really paid too much attention to that and figured eventually my body would give in and start losing. I've been limiting my calories and working out like crazy and keep wondering…
  • I indulge myself once in a while because I think that if I don't I will just go off one day and blow everything. I've lost 19 lbs since Jan and I watch what I eat all week and on the weekends I try not to worry as much. I get back on board on Mondays and that seems to work for me. Don't be so hard on yourself.
  • Thanks for all your encouragement! It really helps! By the way, it finally happened this afternoon. Someone I haven't seen in a few months stopped by and said I looked really good. She asked if I had new glasses and when I told her no she looked me up and down and asked if I lost weight! I am soo motivated now! What…
  • I'm also 5'4". It gets so frustrating! Also I'm still waiting for someone to notice that I've lost weight!
  • The chicken in the crockpot recipe sounds awesome! I always love crockpot recipes!
  • Hi! I'm new too! Add me!
  • Thank you all for your warm welcome! I will add you as friends!
  • Hi! I'm new here too and I have the same weight goal as you - to be under 200lbs by May 1st. I started my weight loss journey at the beginning of Feb. and lost 17 lbs so far. It's been tough though! Everyday is a struggle but now I'm starting to see the results and that has me motivated.
