  • I've never done a challenge here before, so how does it work? SW (June 30): 198 July 7: July 14: July 21: July 28:
  • Check the boards at CookingLight.com. They're always helpful.
  • Um.. yeah. I'll be happy getting to 165. I'm at 199 now. I know at 165 I fit into a size 10. I like that. 165 feels like miles away, so I'll take that for now and hope for more later.
  • Sugar! Even if you use 3 sugars in your coffee, you're looking at 45ish cals... Splenda is just chemicals.
  • Guess I didn't update fully -- I have FINALLY started to lose weight. I added at least 300 cals, so I'm up to 1500+ but i'm not counting as closely. I'm just comfortably eating healthful foods. I'm also drinking more water. Trying to get 3L in per day, especially since it's hot out and I'm working out. Long story, short...…
  • Just wanted to update you all. After I posted this, I went to my next weekly weigh in and FINALLY saw 5lbs. Even just seeing SOMETHING has made me happier. THanks for the support!
  • Yeah, I read it already... I do eat fruits and veggies, I don't drink much at all, I eat only lean meats.... that's why I called my Dr. Cause this is all odd.
  • Ooh.. that's good to know.. But I gotta eat something.. you know?
  • I wanna play... Took me 5 weeks to lose 6lbs, so maybe I can make it. I'm gonna be away for a week and at two weddings. Honetsly, if I can maintain my current weight, that will be a feat.
  • Water is not just good for weight loss, but important for your overall well-being. I know that's vague, so let me explain: Water and sodium run with one another. Where salt goes, water follows. So, if you have lots of sodium, your body will retain water. Sodium goes right into the cells of your body...and takes water with…

  • You're living my story, lady. It BLOWS. I'm so terrified to eat MORE food and see the scale go up instead of down. Though, it's not going anywhere at this point. Boo.
  • that's a big part of it... I don't FEEL like I weigh over 200lbs. I don't think I LOOK like I weigh over 200lbs. In fact, It makes no sense to me that I do. I'm kinda grossed out at myself.
  • My problem is that I'm disgusted with my weight. Saying the number makes me want to cry. It's all rooting in the fact that 20 years ago, I was getting teased for being a fat kid and 15 years ago I stopped eating for 12 months. I remember the early days of AOL, when I was about 14, and everyone was doing the a/s/l chatting.…
  • Yes. I have been tracking everything I eat. I'm a nurse. I'm well-aware of what good nutrition means. And I'm very much controlling my intake and recording everything. I said 1200ish, because MFP recommends 1240, I'm obviously not hitting that to a tee, but I'm around 1200-1260 every day - for the last 4.5 weeks. I'm…
  • @eericson51 - you don't know how good it makes me feel to hear you're in the same boat. And, I'm sorry that you are, but it makes me feel more "normal"
  • To respond to a couple of your questions: - It's scary to add MORE food. But, you're probably right about the deficit. - My clothes don't really fit better. I think my waist looks slimmer, but haven't measured, but my pants don't sit on my waist, and they're not any looser lower down. - Haven't had my blood work done in…
