Try fakeaway options of your favourite foods - so you get a healthier version! In the UK there’s a great set of books called Pinch of Nom which makes easy and affordable swaps for lower calorie dishes! One of the things I used to do at work when office cake went around for a birthday is I wouldn’t deny myself - I’d have a…

A chutney is like a relish :) we call it either in the UK! You can get a fruity chutney or a savoury one like an onion relish!

Just watched Oats Studios on Netflix - a bit dark but I love that kind of thing.

I’ve lost weight before and put it on again over a period of time. I’m now on the same journey - UK based and in my thirties. It would be great to meet others to encourage and swap recipes! I love exercise and strength training!

Hi all! I’m hoping to lose weight in 2024 and not be at any risk to my future health. It seems counterproductive but one of my reasons is I am hoping to have children in the next 5 years (recently married and we’re not in a rush) and I want to have a healthy weight before we try so I can be the best parent I can be. :)

She would do! She passed away due to mismanaged diabetes - diabetic ketoacidosis. So I’m aware of the importance of managing my health now so that I can remain healthy at a later point for my (future) children and family.

I’m definitely going to try :) thank you!

One day at a time - I’ll try and reframe it but also let myself just feel. Starting some counselling over the next week so hopefully I’ll be able to process things in a healthier way for my body and mind.

I am UK born and my great grandparents and grandparents were not overweight but my parents are overweight and diabetic. My father is loves rich foods like beer, cheese, meat etc and my mother is a yo yo dieter who doesn't exercise. I was brought up with big portions of comfort food and a snacking mentality. My grandparents…

Thank you for the advice :) I haven't weighed myself yet, and I am not calorie starved. I have done MFP before and found losing 1.5 pound a week was utterly satisfying, I guess it's more of an experiment on my part to see if I can get my snacking right down! (I am a snacker as I work late evenings!) I just don't want to be…
