Mmm, I'd do half a wheel of brie and half a bottle of wine (I do have to share with DH). Either the day I earned them or I save them for the weekend. Yep, I eat my exercise calories and reward myself with indulgent foods. That's how this works (assuming following MFP method).

Sigh, I wish I still had mine. It was gorgeous. Deep emerald/teal iridescent taffeta cocktail dress. Black lace on the neck with lace long sleeves. Think a modest version of Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (the black cocktail dress). While everyone was wearing puffy sleeves, sweetheart necklines, and full tea length skirts…

1. Down 1 lb since 1 Jan. <3 2. Carnivore only. <3 3. Didn't do all my calisthenics, but maintained my walking schedule. :|
-
^^This. I like to walk, hike and do calisthenics. This year I'm going to learn rock climbing. It's best for me. Not best for someone who wants to train for running races or a swim meet or body building compete.

Well, there's still real cheesecake, muffins, cookies, cakes, and other *kitten* in the house. Had such bad heartburn NYE night from indulging. Ate none of it yesterday and today. If it's not eaten by the kids and MIL tonight, I'm trashing it all. It was all crap my MIL bought, anyway, then decided she doesn't like any of…

Exactly. I have a few FB friends that sell this (the Keto OS is an MLM product). They (and their uplines, I searched them for curiosity) market it as a product that gives you the benefit of keto eating without actually eating keto. Shrug...if used that way, it sure seems like an expensive way to get pretty purple pee…

8lb holiday gain for me, too. Fat? Water? Bloat? A little fat, a lot of water bloat most likely. Oh well, I plan for this every year; it's the single holiday time in which I go hog wild (still, I'm more moderate than in the past). There's 51 other weeks in the year to be on plan.

Oh, such an eye opener, indeed! I (and probably all of us) believed I was a great portion estimator. Well, my eyeball sizes and measuring spoons (and expanding waistline) proved that was lie, lol! And a food scale is actually more simple to use; no sink full of dirty measuring cups and spoons.

Very realistic goal!! That was my 2016 goal (I started at 151lbs). Ended 2016 at 136, and surpassed my goal. I love slow weight loss, I never feel "starved." Set your MFP goal to 0.5lb/wk loss, mostly hit it (hey, realism, we go above sometimes). Eat, evaluate loss pace, repeat, and profit!

My Fitbit Charge HR finally bit the bullet (cracked the screen and the side button fell off). I had it for 2 years, so money well spent for such a thing. I actually replaced it with a far more affordable option: a Misfit Flash ($11.99 on their Holiday sale). It doesn't have the bells and whistles of my previous watch, but…

Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce. On everything. And butter (does that count?).

I started 1 Jan 2016 at 151lbs, sadly after having hit my goal of 135lbs 9 months earlier through convential (high carb/low fat) CICO over a 12 month period. Went back to the same CICO, undereating and over exercising. It took me 9 months to lose 8 flippin pounds. Enough!!! I found LCHF/keto on 1 Oct 2016. Then converted…

PF would fit my needs, and I considered it when the opened near me. However, I won't give out my checking account information for a recurring monthly debit. I found my city's fitness centers have indoor tracks and open basketball and pickeball courts, and only charge $10 a YEAR for those amenities. So, my cardio and sports…

Yass! 2017 is going to be our "no yo-yo New Year"!
-
Coffee w/cream and a pile of scrambled eggs with hot sauce. E'ry day, baby! I love eggs.
-
Yes, they are, @macchiatto ! Although if my 2017 looks like your 2016, I'll consider that a great maintenance range (I'm a yo-yo er, sigh...going to break that cycle)
-
Happy New Year to everyone!! Well, here's the numbers: CW: 137.6lbs GW: 130lbs Waist and hips are up a +0.5" - 1" over my low weight of 131lbs at the start of December. The holidays were used as an excuse to go off the rails, here's my Libra to see the carnage. 2016 was super successful for me. Now back to business.

Yes it does, thankfully. I had about a week of stanky breath. Worst part was I couldn't detect it at all, so embarrassing when my hubby pointed it out while we were out and about shopping. It was a rough week for my husband, lol. I wasn't allowed to talk in the car or the bed. :/

Vodka :| :D Okay, one small drink, as two removes all food inhibitions. We will probably order chinese takeout. I'll have egg drop soup and my leftover chicken adobo, as the local place puts sugar in all the sauces.

1. Lose these 6 lbs still hanging on from Christmas feasting. I done gone and ate ALL the carbs. And drank all the alcohol :o . I have stopped pretending it didn't happen, yet will not shame myself for my choices. 2. I will continue with my immensely successful carnivore lifestyle. The carbage incident taught me my body…

My husband does very well with the aged juice fast. I think you will be delighted with the results, too :) I, myself, prefer my malt mixed with hops.
-
I totally juiced for the holidays. Vodka cocktails count, right? :D Although they weren't clean, as I made dirty martinis. I was thinking of working on my 6-pack (mmm, beer), but I'm not ready for those sick gainz. Maybe for New Year's I'll be ready.

Our family traditionally leaves up decorations until the Epiphany (Jan 6). That was also the day we had our celebration at my paternal grandparents' home. Not English, though (Belgian Americans, very Catholic, too). Perhaps a bit of shared traditions? Oh, I gained 7lbs of food baby (plus some real gain) during Christmas :D…
-
Thank you for sharing this!! I totally needed this today. I've been zero carb for 2 months and have been following guidelines from a particular zero carb FB group. But dang! I feel like some days they tend toward the "crazy train." I just want to avoid overt plant consumption, as it hurts ME. Eating meat and eggs only…

My father's family (Belgian Americans living in rural Wisconsin) say breakfast/dinner/supper. I think it's common in Wisconsin, perhaps from immigration history shared with Ottawa/ NS / etc. surrounding fur trade back in the day. I haven't heard bed lunch before, but I love it. Going to call it that from now on, lol!
-
American, too. Awww, a slang term that we all share! Unity through boob admiration ;)
-
Low carb, even ketogenic/LCHF (<20g/carbs daily) have their place in permanent lifestyles. Not just for weightloss, they can be beneficial for many health concerns. Blanket statements like yours shows ignorance of that way of eating.
-
Me, too. I don't get it. Deck maintenance is a dirty job. A dirty, dirty job.

Brides do that here, too. Just one, lol. At some wedding receptions, there's a big event where the groom has to pull it off the bride's leg in front of everyone. Then he tosses it to the bachelors. Eh, I'm glad we eloped.
