I very much agree.

I really like my flex since it can get wet with no issues. I don't have to take it off to swim or shower, or worry about it getting wet in the rain.

When I was younger, I could eat whatever, whenever and just not gain. I guess some people just have a very fast metabolism. Jump ahead 20 years and now at 43, I gain so much more quickly than before and started counting calories...something i never thought I'd ever do. ; (

My sister has 12 kids from 3-21 and if nothing else, tries to get a walk in.

I'm 5'1", 125ish lbs and happy there. If I lose much more, my pants all fall off and I feel like I look sickly. My advice would be eat whatever you want in moderation, and keep moving.

I think it's probably the exercise, if it's a new thing for you, as well as not eating nearly enough calories. You may lose weight fast initially, but it's much better and more maintainable to lose more slowly. You need energy to work out and 1200 calories isn't enough.

They are a hard workout and I think they work, if you can stick with them. I have a hard time working out at home, but when I did these in the past, I felt like they were pretty tough. And the videos vary but often about half an hour.

love to see a loving smile : )

Nope, I hate diet soda:sick:

Yep, Carlisle area!

This! My husband and I walk most evenings while the kids ride their bikes. We get to talk and it doesn't seem like exercise, and the kids have so much fun that they're always asking to go for a walk.

Thigh gaps are over-rated. Yeah, it would be nice when I wear short shorts and run, but unless it's b/c your of your body shape, it looks anorexic. I saw a girl at the beach with a gap yesterday but she also looked like she needed a snack. I'd rather have some solid muscle than starve myself to have a gap, just sayin'

I told both of my sisters about it. One is still on although not very active on here. The other (who needs to lose quite a bit of weight), said it was too hard to log, and didn't stick with it. But I got my husband to join and he's lost almost 20 lbs since he joined in Jan. & is too skinny now!

Thanks for posting. The scale has been getting me down, but I feel like I fit some things better, even though my measurements aren't really changing much either.

Just got a kayak...so fun! And a good workout too!

My fastest was just over 27 min, but that was when I had been training and running regularly. My 5k time this morning was 30:55, which is right in the general area of the last 3 I have run. There are always walkers and stragglers, so if you've been running at all, you will be far from last

I drink decaf black iced tea with just 1/3 cup of sugar per gallon.
-
I'm sure you can do it! I can't even train for my 5ks b/c of bad knees, but run a couple a year anyway. Obviously I do other types of cardio and strengh training to get myself in decent shape, but you'll find that the excitement and adrenalin of the race will push you along faster and further than you think you can do. If…

I ran my first 5k two years ago and was super nervous about coming in last, but realized since then in all the 5ks I have ran, there are always people there to walk, so you won't come in last. And your time will be automatically faster b/c of the adrenaline of being in the race:smile:

This. Most of my friends moan about their size, and think it must be nice for me to not be as big as them, blah blah blah... but when I ask them to walk with me, or come to the gym with me, they aren't even kinda interested. Somehow they don't put together that I can eat alot (including "junk food" in smaller portions),…

I didn't read the link you posted, but as a kid we ate out almost never. We had no money, a huge garden and lived in the country, pretty far from any decent places to eat out. I remember my dad taking us to a nice restaurant for my mom's birthday once in awhile and a rare stop at a fast food place while traveling...my mom…

A pet peeve of mine is that most women's workout pants and shorts have no pockets!:grumble:

If I don't track, I automatically eat more. If you track consistently, and use your smartphone to scan food packages when you can, it really doesn't take much time and is very easy. I tend to eat alot of the same foods every day, so it's already in my "recent foods" section. If you're really truly committed, you can do it.

I SO relate! Weight was never an issue with me til I hit very late 30's. Kinda stinks :grumble: I am just over 5ft 1 and every lb shows, mostly goes right to my butt and thighs. I ran my first 5K when I was just about 40 and have ran several since. Sadly my knees aren't what they were when I ran back in high school and…

Even on rest days, I often take a walk.

Whatever, string cheese is a good source of protein and calcium and low fat.

Cool! I need to get one of these...but for now I carry one of these, tied around my neck so I can grab it quick: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013LNLNS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
