  • UK races often say on the website that you can't wear headphones. I've done a fair number of races and have never ever ever seen this enforced. They may care if your likely to be winning the race but (I'm assuming!) your not, so take them if you use them and if you want them.
  • Just do what works for you - your body will tell you if you need a rest day, so listen to it! I personally always have a "proper" rest day once a week - so no walking / running / biking (except to get to work!) etc. Another, more scientific way of telling if you need a rest day is take your pulse in the mornings.
