Are you by chance doing South Beach, Atkins, or anything low carb? My wife and I use to do South Beach and I would notice a burning sensation sometimes with very light activity.... especially in induction phase... good luck

Do you wear socks with your? Do they stretch at all? I bought socks. They are a little snug with the socks on, but I tried the the next size up and they just felt like the toes flopped at the end.

Everything I read indicated this was the first one specifically for running. And I read somewhere that the laces versus the strap allowed people with wider feet (me) to get a better fit.

Obviously at the end of the day it is a judgement call. I know that recovery from extreme lactic acid build up can be miserable, throw in a small strain or something and I can see your pain. I definitely would not force myself to eat those back. On my long run days I can burn over 2000 calories. I am not about to gorge that many back. The good news if you are hungry you have plenty of room to eat something you normally would not have room for. Hope this helps...
