Six years later and we're married... :* (bumpity bump bump bump)

I made spiraled potatoes with homemade marinara sauce for vegan family members about a month ago. It turned out really nice for everyone, vegan and nonvegan. Good luck!
-
I like both. I agree with the sentiment about mixing it up and not overthinking things.

Feel free to add me. I was in the same place last April as you are now, and so I hired a trainer. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm useless without guidance. :)

I suggest using the app religiously. I support eating what you like. I also support exercise to eat more of what you like. Purchase a heart rate monitor, hit your macros, enjoy what you eat, and weigh and log everything. There is absolutely no need to deprive yourself.
-
I wouldn't worry about holidays or about going over on occasional days. I just log everything and move on. That mentality hasn't affected my progress yet. :)

Yes! I had four pieces of Valentine's candy after I worked out yesterday. I regret nothing. ;)

Over the last 5 or 6 years, I've lost 100 pounds. Since June, I've lost 50. :)

I had a similar experience several years ago. Instead of spoonfuls of chocolate powder, I grabbed a handful of chocolate chips and put them between bread slices. Grilled chocolate sandwich. I was desperate! (But it was so worth it...)

Body weight work outs and running in place are good alternatives. Dumbbells are also pretty affordable. There are lots of tutorials and workouts online that you can pull up.

Amazing. We have a similar body style so I'll say this... Being curvy is a lot more fun at a manageable weight! Congratulations on your success!

If you feel that any part of you is malfunctioning to the point of needing a detox, I'd highly suggest seeing a doctor. Your body is a pretty cool thing, it does all the detox stuff itself if you're healthy.

I think the design of this feature is to deter those who support very unhealthy lifestyles. It could become a liability if the company didn't have protective measures and specific guidelines in place.

Tape them up and wear a good ankle brace. I used to have to do this before every softball game in high school because I couldn't step on the field without spraining them. Perhaps seek out a good physical therapist? I'm not sure if it's possible with your injuries, but maybe he/she could help you strengthen them, even if…

Once every morning after using the bathroom and naked. Sometimes before a doctor's appointment, I'll weigh around the same time of my appointment with clothes on just out of curiosity.

If your belly is the last place you lose fat, that's the last place you'll lose it on any diet. The only way around that would be liposuction. (I'm definitely not recommending that.) I'd recommend continuing making changes to your diet so it's sustainable after you've reached your goal. You'll worry less about if what…

I get the things I like, but now I ask for them to steam everything and to put all sauces on the side. Sauces on the side is a big one. You can also weigh everything out and cut the meals in halves or thirds and save the rest for later.

I've been able to tell a difference in each ten pounds that I've lost. It's definitely more noticeable with each ten you hit. :)

I second the migraine treatment comment. Generally, I'll take something as soon as I feel the signs of one coming on. Anxiety is an issue that I've learned to talk myself through for most occasions, but cardio has helped immensely with this. Just an easy walk for 20 to 30 minutes can change my mood drastically!!…

The amount of calories you would need to maintain your health and continue to lose weight becomes unsubstainable for a more rapid weight loss at lower numbers.
-
Patience. I'm not sure how surgery affects fat loss, but traditionally, it will come from the last place you gained it. Don't get frustrated if it doesn't come from your waist first, you'll get there eventually.

Maybe not weird, but definitely not normal - oreos with peanut butter. Yummy!
-
Add a protein powder to a high fatty drink if you don't want to give it up, given that your goals allow for it. Otherwise, small alterations should help you reach your health goals.

I wouldn't be able to do it. I need consistency in my life so I count everything, everyday. Even if I do indulge, it's a very conscious indulgence. And I enjoy every single bite of it. ;)

Between 135 and 140 - I have a smaller frame, so extra fat doesn't look very good on me. I definitely felt best at this weight, and I get to keep my curves. Once I start working on building muscle and am able to surplus, my goals will shift from the scale number to body composition.

You may consider seeing a doctor. I have a dairy intolerance and experience the same symptoms when I eat exorbitant amounts of dairy. You may just have an intolerance or allergy to something. If so, medication or low moderation could easily fix that problem.

A small glass of 1% milk helps me to kick unwarranted hunger. I doubt you'll find many people here who will recommend a pill for you. Try the app though, you'd be amazed at how quickly your body adjusts after realizing how many calories you're truly eating. Was definitely my "a-ha!" moment.

Caffeine pills are too much for my heart rate. I'd stick with coffee, but that's just my personal opinion.

Detox and "calorie counting doesn't work for me" make me cringe every time! I don't really mind people who use the term "journey." It always triggers views of Middle Earth and The Shire for me. ;)
