I was reading about detoxes online and was just curious as to how helpful those are in terms of starting a diet and weight loss.

You don't need to "detox" anything and they don't do anything to help you lose weight.0

Pointless. Your body has all the equipment it needs to detox itself - liver and kidneys.0

If you feel that any part of you is malfunctioning to the point of needing a detox, I'd highly suggest seeing a doctor. Your body is a pretty cool thing, it does all the detox stuff itself if you're healthy.0

Detoxes are pointless at best and dangerous at worse.0

I heard dog feces is the best cleanse in 2015, srs. Eat between whole grain bagel and smile.0

How helpful it is would really depend on your personality. Fasting for a day is not harmful for a healthy person, but it's also unlikely to be of much help in losing weight except perhaps on a psychological level.0
