getting my beautiful waist back

I used to have a lovely waistline. I 2008 I had to have a lifesaving operation on my gut that left me with things in different places and a waist that is very large and unattractive. Trying to at least improve this. Suggestions?

    Patience. I'm not sure how surgery affects fat loss, but traditionally, it will come from the last place you gained it. Don't get frustrated if it doesn't come from your waist first, you'll get there eventually.
