True but from 7am until 12 i am unable to eat at work as we are only given a lunch break, and i work in a nursery so i cannot snack on fruit or anything on the job ... and then after lunch i have no food again until 6:30 so its a long time for me to go without eating, meaning im ravenous once i finish at work. I need to lose 65lbs and im on 1200 a day, 1000 calories is far too low, you should definitely be eating more. What i do to lose weight is eat my 1200 calorie allowance and then eat back my exercise calories, so if i burn 300 going for a jog, that means i have 300 extra calories that i can eat :)

Aw thankyou guys! How lovely :) I've added you all! I hope this is the start of something amazing!

I'm Emily, 21 from Hertfordshire, UK. I have lost 15lbs so far and have another 60 to lose. I love having lots of people to encourage and to be encouraged by :) x

And MFP also overcompensates on the calories you burn. So possibly eating too many calories due to MFP telling you you've burnt more than you actually have x

Haha anytime! Glad I could be of help :D

With the back-handed compliments i get quite annoyed because there's no need for people to make you feel worse about something you're trying your best to change, i just give them a look and walk away, no need to stoop to their level and make a big deal out of it :) I ALWAYS get shoulder pains from my girls haha but no…

Ignoring all of this negativity from what everybody else is saying i'd say that instead of focusing TOO much on restricting your calories, and more on the exercise. Though you are unhappy with it, your weight is still good, but the main aim is to tone up and tighten your body more so than being "anorexic" as people seem to…

Hello! I'm living in Hertfordshire, I've just graduated from Uni of South Wales :D I'm 217lb's and i'm looking to lose a massive 75lb so it'd be great to chat to someone in the same situation as me :)

By the end of the day, i usually don't have enough calories left for teatime, so i got for a 40 minute walk, which earns me an extra 200+ calories :) or i do 15 minutes on my stationary bike ... Just work out how many calories you will need for dinner, and then do some form of exercise (doesn't even have to be hard, a walk…

Ah, believe me, i was the same! I would wake up in the morning and eat breakfast, then instantly open up some chocolate.. I would eat bars and bars of it every day. I'm pretty sure i was addicted to sugar, i've only been logging here for ten days, but on the first full day without sugary sweets or chocolate, i was sick and…

Did you weigh yourself using both yours and the Dr's scales before you lost weight? If not, then it is possible that you weigh more than your scales say, however, if i were you, i'd just continue to go by your home scales, your starting weight may be different between the two scales, but each lb lost will be the same.…

I would say you look pretty amazing! But instead of losing weight, focus on maintaining it, otherwise the lb's will keep adding on, so supervise the food you're eating and how much you exercise :)

I'm graduating in 9 days!

Try not to cut the sweeter things in life out, it's good to have that treat! I am a massive sugar addict, but the way I see it, if one day, i have a huge craving for a bar of chocolate, and grapes, or nuts or other fruit won't satisfy it, i will go and eat a chocolate bar. BUT, i will make sure it is a small one, and that…

I used to have a lovely figure between 15 and 17 years old but at that point I didn't realise how pretty I was and I hated my body, since I turned 18 and left for university, I started putting weight on - fast. I've put on about 3 stone since going to university, and now, at 217lb and 21 years old, I've realised that I…
