I went skiing for the first time 18 months ago. I am 47 years old and had my doubts. I took a group lesson and was not the worst one there so that was encouraging. I spent that entire trip just skiing on the bunny slope and few gentle greens. I absolutely fell in love with skiing and have been back three times since then…

When I started P90X3 I could barely do one pull-up. I used the pull-up assist band until I could do two without any assistance. Since then I have worked my way up to being able to do 12 in a row and, during The Challenge, I can do 6 sets of 6. You can do it.

Welcome to MFP. There are lots of really great folks here. You can do this!!

Congrats on making the commitment. You will have have up days and down days during your journey but remember it's a marathon and not a sprint. There will be days you will have to remind yourself that it's okay to not be perfect. Just be consistent and it will happen. You can do this.

^^^ That. I personally could not do the weekly weighing. I only weigh once per month but I have lost enough that I am confident that CICO/Exercise works. If I weigh every week I get discouraged at the fluctuations. Just my two cents.

Wow, your goals are almost exactly what mine were when I started. I was 75 pounds overweight and on BP meds twice per day. I have since lost over 50 pounds, had my meds reduced twice and am down to just one dose per day at the lowest dosage. Looking forward to getting rid of that last one. Feel free to send me a friend…

Welcome back. I started at 245 and am currently at 192. I got stuck around 205 for several weeks but eventually started losing again. It's a marathon, not sprint so hang in there.
