I am crowding that 50 mark and am not liking the changes. Anyone else in the same boat?

Yep. 48 and counting. Feel better than I have in lots of years since losing all the weight.

53 here. Hated 50 (overweight and felt like there was no turning it around). Really digging 53 now. By the time I'm 54 I'll be at my goal weight and much fitter too.

Don't fear the 50. Do something about it!

Hated and I mean hated turning the Big 50!! Now that I'm pushing 56 on May 3rd, all I can say is that I'm grateful for being alive and happy. My one regret is that I didn't get serious about my Heath earlier. I refuse to carry any regrets and waste any time. To those in their 20s-30s, you may think " they're old already what difference does this mean"..,, for one, I see many of my patients entering long term care in their mid to late 80's. Prior to that they lived at home and had an active life. They look at me and tell me to live life to the fullest. So with that advice, I will do so. Do not look backward but move forward, healthier, happier and remember you're only as old as you feel.

    50 isn't old. Period.

IMO it's not just a state of mind thing like that the old chestnut "only as old as you feel" would suggest. If you've the will and the ability to get or stay fit, there's very little one could do at 30 years old that you can't do at 50.

One advantage of age: wisdom. Use it!

I changed my lifestyle habits 18 months ago. I am down 53 pounds and countless inches. Dropped from size 16/18 to 6/8. This part has been the easy stuff. It's all the other changes that are driving me nuts. Scheduling a dr appt for hormone levels and all that jazz.

Yes! I feel much better! I want to stay on top of things so all the internal changes won't be such a shock to the system. I know those changes can be difficult, I just don't want to make them any harder.
