  • My starting before pregnacy about 155, after 235. I can tell you I did not have an 80lb baby. It took a year but I lost 90lbs. Some months I lost 12lbs and some months I only lost 5lbs. I started with walking everyday, then after about 6months running every other day. I work so I would spend sunday preparing my lunch as…
  • Well with my right arm on bottom my fingers can grab each other and its been 2 years since shoulder surgery and that should was in terrible condition and had lost most flexibility, with about 2 inch gap. So I guess I don't really know how long it took with that arm. But with the left arm on bottom I am 12 weeks post op and…
  • This is what the PT had me doing and holding for 30 sec, using the hand going over the shoulder to pull causing the stretch in the shoulder in the bottom shoulder then switch. I can touch my fingers both ways which is a huge improvement since I could not.
  • radio lab did a podcast on this very subject, very interesting.
  • See an othro, could be an impingment, inflammation of the bursa or rotor, labral issues. You may just need a cortizone shot or some PT. But see a DR.
  • My biggest concern are bears in the am. I run with a bell. No worries about crime safety for me. Get pepper spray for piece of mind.
  • I set my activity to sedentary, and then use my fitbit to add back my activity. Do I eat back all my adjusted calories for the day? Most of the time no, but there are those times when I am really hungry so then I do. But if I am full then I don’t. I’d say listen to your body, if you are hitting your macro’s and still…
  • I set my activity to sedentary, and then use my fitbit to add back my activity. When I do my runs and work out I also wear my Polar HRM to see what my burn is, also my running app also keeps track. In the end the fitbit does a pretty good job and for me, I just let the fitbit do the adjustment since I wear the fitbit all…
  • I ran it, and thought I was in decent shape. I finished in top 1/3 for my age bracket and couldn't sit down for a week was so sore. But I loved every minute of it, and if I didn't have shoulder surgery 7 weeks ago I would be doing it again. I would try to do some crossfit classes. In the spartan race if you fail to…
  • Me too! I have 11 weeks to go. I am trying zone train and finding that challening since my town is a hill. Feel free to add me. I am using Edmundo and my Polar HRM. I am following Athleta run and Triathalon training guide.
  • As someone who has suffered since the age of 7, I would recommend seeking medical guidance if they are to the point that they are affecting your daily life. With that said in addition to the daily medication I take. The neurologist also recommended taking CoQ10 @ 100mg. You can buy them at any pharmacy. Best of luck
  • This, my husband is forced to use it and likes it the best and he is picky.
  • Food for thought, I loved Splenda but in OCT 2013 I made the switch back to real sugar and the weight started to come off. I had done nothing different before but once I stopped using fake sugar suddenly the weight came off. Since then I have surpassed my goal weight. I find since I stopped using splenda I don't need as…
  • Obviously you let the cold harsh winter this year get in the way of your training. You should have been out running heartbreak hill a few more times. This year go sprint at Blue Hills to train harder. Now stop your pity party, pick yourself up, and make it happen.
  • For me personally it is the reduction of added sugar. That means for me less processed foods, and using less sugar in my coffee and finding alternatives in recipes. In my experience the more you have it the more you crave it, and so I feel better and desire it less by eating less added sugar. Let’s be clear there is a…
  • I get up at 4:15 am to work out before work. Planing is the key to success. I make my lunches/breakfasts and daughters lunches the night before and try to do as much food prep as I can on the weekends. I lay out my clothes the night before/pack my gym bag, have the coffee pot preprogrammed. That way when I wake up I throw…
  • This was Fitbits response, which I did and it did not fix the issue. "Hello Brandy, We're sorry to hear that your Zip recorded data while you were driving. Driving and other activities can sometimes cause your tracker to register extra steps. Regardless of activity, you can negate steps and floors by logging a driving…
  • I have it clipped into the inside of my pant pocket so that people can not see what it is, just a clip.

  • Me too! Full time mom, wife and employee. I am training for a 1/2 marathon obstacle course race in sept with milestone races in between. I am trying to get slimmer. Living in New England I can relate to the snow and cold. Just got fresh 24inches on Friday.
