I'm a SAHM of a 2.75 year old and 8 month old. I'd love to have some more MFP friends. Feel free to add me!

I always do the 3-days per week and fill in another 2- to 3- days with strength training or cross training. I've trained for a few half marathons that way... always 3 days a week running, 3 others cross training... and you can run some serious distance without having to run every day.

In the past, when I've worried about it to this level of detail, I've done this manually. You can do your BMR and divide it down into some easy unit (like X calories for every 5 or 10 minutes). With that said, unless you're committed to eating back every single calorie that you burn through exercise (no shame - I usually…

Hey! I had the same problem with my Timex HRM (I have a similar heart rate problem - very very high while exercising). It even allowed a fit test, which I did and entered my range, but it still had me burning WAY more calories than I could possibly have been burning. And at the time, I was just accepting the calorie burn…

Hey Ducky! I've been just adding breastfeeding (-500 calories) to my dessert entry daily. I do almost all of mfp on my phone, and so far so good. Maybe try a different bf entry? Best, Andrea

I'm 29 as well, a runner (slow runner), and am definitely cranking it for some loss by September. My minimum goal is 18 by mid-September. Let's be friends! Add me :)

Start weight as of today (Monday - my weigh day) is 167.4. Though if you needed it as of yesterday, it was the exact same thing. Team 11 ROCKS!

I always sub 0% Greek Yogurt for sour cream, and it works for us!

I want in! Thanks for setting this up!! This will keep me to a consistent weigh day :)

I'm doing the same! I've got a way to go but the 13 lbs I've lost so far have made me confident that I can and will do it. Feel free to add me!

I just got the Timex: http://www.amazon.com/Timex-T5G971-Unisex-Personal-Monitor/dp/B000P8VWQS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1308057387&sr=8-1 Much less expensive than the polar, and so far so good for me as I really just want to know my heart rate and calories burned. It's easy to use and easy to read.

If I don't have time to exercise, I try to keep my breakfast and lunch calories low (200 or so) so that I can have snacks, because I HAVE to have snacks. And on the days I just need to eat more than I'm allotted, I exercise more. No joke. Sometimes I go out and run a couple of miles because I'm so hungry and I know I need…

I'll start it with you tomorrow!

Hey girl! Feel free to add me! I've got hypothyroidism, but I'm feeling like my weight is due to our new baby. And cupcakes. Mostly cupcakes. I can use a good kick in the *kitten* on a regular basis, but I can also give one out if required! Andrea

We make hummus every weekend, and cut up bell peppers, carrots, and broccoli to dip. It's the only way I eat fresh veggies! And it's delish! I also like to eat a couple of pieces of turkey and a bit of cheese, or cottage cheese, or nuts to round out my not-sweet snacks.

I would start with something in the more "reasonable" category. If you do a running program like C25K, you can work your way up from hardly running to running a 5k. Then, adding a short strength video 3x a week will really get you some good toning. I love P90X, but it is a HUGE commitment, so if you are pretty new to…

Hey girl! I can't say exactly why this happens - but just know that it happens to all of us... or at least me! Here are some things that (legit) can make a difference: *Water Retention *Weather (seriously, barometric pressure is a b*) *Hormones *Type of food eaten in the last 24 hours (not to be crude, but some things…

th1nkth1nmama, you are doing amazing. And I am totally 29 (when did that happen), which I still think is young... right? Let's do this thing!
-
Hey BigMamaDiva, You are so right - I like to think of this as a "diet" right now, because I'll certainly be able to eat a (very tiny) bit more when I reach my goal weight, but if I don't want to find myself here in a couple of years again, I have to be ready to stick with it. We can do this!
-
cwdanley... I think that's how I got here in the first place. MMMMMmmm, beer!

Hey Nicole! I don't know how you do it with three little ones. This site has really reinforced for me that the portion sizes / choices I was making were really out there. I used to be all "I don't know how I'm overweight... I eat healthy most of the time!" UM, after seeing how quickly 1200 calories go? Yup, now I know how…
