omg, that little face is adorable! look at that expression!! ...and you look good, and you will lose the extra weight. Just take it one day at a time.

This was me yesterday. So hungry and made some terrible decisions because of it. Next month I will learn and just increase my intake for this week this way I am getting the calories my body apparently demands.

I recently started the program in the book The new rules of lifting for women." I very much enjoyed reading the book as well. Definitely recommend some more strength training!

Many people here who are fit were once overweight. Same may be true at your gym Some of those skinny, fit people may have started where you are.

Lost about 40 pounds with them last time, but when I stopped, I gained it all back. I enjoyed the accountability of the in-person weigh ins, but always skipped out from the meetings. I'd like to talk about the emotions and the real struggles, but most of the people just wanted to talk about their recipes. MFP lets us put…

If they pressure you to drink, then you have a built in litmus test for whether they are a good fit or not. You don't need to offer any explanation. You live in London , so here are my date ideas: 1 Go to the Dr Who Museum. 2. Go to the theater when David Tennant is performing anything Shakespere 3. Go on the Dr Who tardis…

Love the two tablespoon idea = an ounce. I can use that! I can relate to not being able to take a food scale. In my family, the presence of a food scale would invite questions - unending, personal and very pointed questions with the intention of derailing my weight loss. They all have issues with food and latch on to any…

The warm up idea is good, but since she is getting upset with you for wanting to go further and hasn't suggested it herself, I have a feeling she's got some emotional crazy going on. My guess is that she feels jealous or hurt or inadequate so she's (maybe subconsciously, maybe not) trying to pull you back down to where she…

One thing I've learned from reading the comments is that there are a lot of us 5'2'ers in the same boat, looking to do exactly what you did. Congratulations - you look absolutely amazing. You are am inspiration to me as well. I'm curious if you ate back your exercise calories and what was your tdee? Great job and thank you…

Are you talking about IRL or on MFP? On MFP, you can remove the option of having your weight loss posted after weigh ins. In real life, you cannot remove the option of what people say, unfortunately.

NaomiJ - Brand and retail location please! I'm definitely interested!!

I don't get skinny jeans. If I want to wear something attached to my skin, I'll wear leggings or some sort of spandex workout pants. Nobody wants to see this *kitten* and thighs in that fabric. Give me a regular pair of jeans please. I'll boot cut or something, but put it high enough so my whole damn stomach doesn't hang…

Cheating implies that you are on a diet, not living your life. I splurge when I feel the occasion may call for it, and if the week I have had is consistent with healthy calorie intake.

Try running with music with a slower tempo

The real issue here seems to be that food used to be a treat for you, but now it is something else. You can no longer turn to it in the same way to give you the feel-goods. At least not the same feel-goods. Find something else to treat yourself with while you rediscover your relationship with food.

I'm 5'2'' lowest was 120 at 16 years old. College got me to 130. Back down to 125-135 when I got married. Gradually gained up to 150. Had a kid. Up to 160 after he was born. Had another kid. Every year I promise myself I will lose weight for the next time that the season comes about. So, in my fat christmas dress, I'll say, next year I'll be in a thin Christmas dress. Or for Valentines Day I'll promise next year I'll fit into cute lingerie. Or for family reunions and weddings I promise next year I"ll look good…

HI! My first time in this challenge. I'm on week 5 of the couch potato challenge, and training for a 5k in october. Here is my ticker. Good luck this month, everyone!

The term cheat is wrong. It implies that you are doing something wrong. Doing something wrong often causes people to feel guilty and then self destruct. Or some people get a kick out of being bad and then they want to repeat the behavior. What you are looking for is a splurge day. A splurge calls it for what it is - an…

I spent many, many years on high carb, low protein diet. My staples were pizza and chocolate. It was terrible when I couldn't put meat on the pizza or get chocolate with nuts in it because I didn't want the extra protein, but now with MFP I realize I can have both in moderation.

oh, easy one! At the gym, relatively new to the concept of treadmills. Dropped my cell phone so jumped off to get it - with the belt still going. Somehow, imagined I could simply jump back on in a run. No. Doesn't really work like that. Only in my head. In real life, I fell right off and hit the ground HARD. That was a few…

What is he eating that's making him heavy? Extra slices of pizza? Soda? Other sugary drinks? Ice cream? Find the problem and eliminate it from the house, even if it means other family members not having it either.

I have absolutely no scientific research to back this up, only a theory. I know most people do not subscribe to "starvation mode." On the surface it should be as simple as calories in, calories out. But it is well known that in weight loss, we lose muscle as well as fat. We also know that muscle is responsible for helping…

Same boat over here. Broncos and Giants house over here. Sundays we drag the family to the local chain restaurants to watch the game. We have regular parties at the house, and go to maybe 2 games a season complete with tailgating. This is a good thread for me to follow for everyone's suggestions!!!

Worst Advice: Sign up for Isogenix. Eat two shakes a day and a sensible meal at night. Then, twice a week, do a "cleanse" where you eat no food. (resulted in quick 8 pound loss followed by a 15 pound gain. Best advice: Think about food as fuel for your body. Eat smaller meals more often.
