Sodium definitely makes you retain water. And it can lead to high blood pressure. The ideal sodium intake is 1300mg. The recommended intake is 2500mg or less. The normal adult female eats anywhere from 2300-3500mg. The average male eats around 3300-4700mg.

Rinse them in water, spray with a little oil and coat in cayenne/paprika/cumin/garlic pepper ...whatever you like! Then throw them in the oven for a while, change to broil and you get crunchy little chick pea chips! Perfect for snacking!

Ahah that's how I feel sometimes too! That's why I need to just step back from it and listen to my body instead!

Hummus and/or baba ghanoush!

When did you start working out/eating healthy? The first amount of weight comes off easier, then it's common for your weight loss to even out and/or lessen. This is called a plateau. It takes a bit to get over the hump, but just keep doing what you're doing (but switch up work outs - foods, etc) and it'll start coming off…

Hahaha I love this! I totally agree! I make my own almond butter - and add a banana to make it banana butter (which lowers calories and doubles the quantity, while adding a natural sweetness) and I literally have to make it every week cause I'm so in love with it.

Oh! I forgot to mention - the tomatoes should be crushed. You can see how to do this yourself (instead of buying canned) right here: http://www.pasta-recipes-by-italians.com/crushed-tomatoes.html

I understand your view that sodium levels should differ between people. I completely agree. Everyone is different - therefore food intake levels will differ between people. However, too much sodium in not healthy for you. Personally, if I intake too much sodium, I become extremely dehydrated and my scale sky rockets - I'm…

If your family has a history of heart issues, you should DEFINITELY be aware of your sodium intake!! Reducing your sodium can reduce your chances of having problems of your own down the road!

Oh the pasta sauce is SO EASY! You just roast garlic, red peppers and eggplant first. Then you combine all 3 of those with tomatoes (and fresh herbs like cilantro, basil, and oregano - these are my go to herbs!) into a food processor. Process until smooth (puree) and voila! Yummy, healthy sauce! And it makes A TON!! I also…

I mix 60oz of water, 1 bag of dandelion root tea, lemon and pure cranberry. I drink that throughout the day and it completely helps to de-bloat!

Yam noodles with broccoli, mushrooms and sauce! So good! And yam noodles taste just like regular noodles, but with 0 calories and they're only made with 3 ingredients. Oh, and they're already pre-cooked, so you don't have to worry about cooking them. Just strain and pour your sauce over! http://www.nooodle.com/ They also…

Nuts aren't unhealthy - they contain good fats and proteins that help your body run at it's optimal levels. And the sugar found in fruit is easily digestible whereas normal refined sugars take a while to process through your body - causing weight gain. And the dried fruit that I use doesn't have sugar added to it - just…

I'm not trying to completely put down oatmeal - I love it! Which is why, because I'm on an all raw diet this week (and I might extend it a week) I got really excited that I could make something that tasted super good and close to oatmeal! The calculations for the oatmeal nutrition facts were taken from livestrong.com as…

Honestly, I have no idea haha. I just made it for the first time. But I can guarantee, it probably won't last long enough for you to have to worry about it :)

I use my HRM each time I do a new level (or each day if I feel like strapping it on - it depends on how cold my hands are haha). I do a custom one and called it 30DS. For level 1, I burned roughly 130-140 calories. Now for level 2, I burn 140-160 calories.
-
It's designed for 10 days for each, but I started level 2 at day 6. I'll probably move up to level 3 earlier than I'm supposed to too!

I complain about my weight to my boyfriend -- and he tells me that I'm crazy and I'm the most beautiful girl he's ever seen. You should get responses like that. Not constant criticism.

I actually use apple cider vinegar as a facial toner. I wash my face with raw, organic honey...sometimes mixing in brown sugar to exfoliate, and then I use apple cider vinegar as a toner. It works wonders! And it's all natural!

Do what your body wants...but you should always intake protein after you exercise. I get it by drinking protein shakes, or egg white omelets.
