The shakes are great and like any weight loss program you need to be consistant and incorporate exercise into your program. I lost 15 pounds and 6.5 inches after being on a plateau for over a year.

Assie the weight you have lost already shows you have the willpower and commitment to keep going. If you have little support around you, you can lean on us. I hit a plateau that lasted over a year. Look at yourself in the mirror and remind yourself how far you have come. Then you need to take baby steps . Try to control…

We are becoming a lonely bunch.:noway:

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE LOSERS. WE ARE ALL WINNERS. Portion control is key. For me I still eat anything that I want to eat but Instead of overdoing it, I watch how much I eat, more than what I eat. Best of luck to all in the next weeks till the end.

hellooooo--- where is everyone. Come out, come out, wherever you are. Missing so many people and posts

When I do fitness workouts I use weights but that is mostly in the winter. I figure that working 5 days a week cleaning a school and moving all the furniture (including 4 drawer file cabinets)out of the classrooms and stacking in the hallways consists of enough weight lifting in the summer. Some of the desks are heavy when…

Don't know where todays post is. It was sent in on Monday.

I am proud of everything that I have accomplished. From raising seven children to be wonderful adults to making my health a priority. What have I done for me? I have gotten back to walking daily (I am dog sitting and buddy needs to wear off energy so walking is great) and try to do about 5k per day after an 8 hour shift of…

My favorite workout of all time is walking. I walk 5K most days and I have now started running/jogging. When I walk the 5K it usually takes me 50-55 minutes. This past weekend I walked/jogged the same distance and clocked in at 39 minutes on both days. Other things I love to do are yoga, yard work(weeding and creating…

Fantastic job to all those who have stuck with this and lost weight. You all deserve a huge shout out. Congratulations on all your successes. Talk about inspiration.

I have no problem with drinking just water. Went out for supper last night with sister, brother and their spouses and stole my brother's water ( he was not drinking it) as well as had two refills. On another note I deliberately ate a small(1/2) piece of cheesecake in honor of my aunt who loved sweets and wanted everyone to…

I don't really have a summer secret. I find I am outside more in the summer and not near a food supply. I work in my flower beds and dirty hands and food don't mix. I also have a job were I am more physically active in the summer. When my family gets together I usually supply the house and yard and maybe fruit/vegetable…

I never knew I could lose 42 pounds and keep it off. I never knew I could fit into a size 12 and look good. I never knew I could be happy.

Wow - great challenge. Mindi you are awesome. I love that reminder to focus on your health not on skinny. I have always found water easy and I have never really been into drinking soda or sweet drinks of any kind. My dad even taught me that the best alcoholic drink was scotch and water/ice. The one thing that has gotten…

To ranewell: We are all going to slip up on occasion. The trick is to accept what has happened and to move on. I spent a year on a plateau and my weight would not move. I focused on what I had accomplished instead of where I wanted to be. That kept me on track during that time. To get over the Wednesday hump I would have…

Today is the holiday in Canada and I plan to get a lot of yardwork done this weekend. I started many years ago building flower beds to relieve the stress of day to day living with a blended family of seven children. I built the first one and discovered that I would always be left alone when I was weeding the flower…

] I have gone off track in the last couple of weeks. I have been celebrating grandchildren's birthday parties, year end parties and father's day and somewhere in there I started to slip up. I have been doing very little exercise using the rain for an excuse not to walk( It has been raining almost all of June). Hello Karen…

You can all do it. Look into the "battle of the bulge summer weight loss challenge" You can join anytime and it is great support and motivation. Best of luck

I have challenged myself to get back at it. The weather has been very depressing here lately. We have had so much rain. I do not mind walking in the rain, in fact I quite enjoy it but I do not like to walk in constant pouring rain. I have not been going out and I needed a kick in the butt to get back at it. I have let the…

First of all congratulations to all of those who are winning at losing. There are some really impressive numbers up there. I am so impressed and motivated to keep going. I did not know what new food I could choose to try but when a staff member left a bag of pistachios in the staffroom it was like an omen. I have never…

My NSV this week had to be when a co-worker was told me that the weight loss was really showing. What a great feeling and yes it does make me want to try harder. I also had my sister tell me how good I was looking.

I have been averageing about 350 cals per day in exercise calories. Some days it is higher and some days it is lower. I will up my game and aim for 450 calories per day in exercise for at least five days a week. I think I can do that but it is going to take some commitment as things are going to start getting really busy…

For me, my workouts are usually at around 3:00 after I get home from work. At 2:30 I unually have celery and pb or I will have almonds and an apple(whatever fruit I have in the house). I then cook supper after so I usually just drink my water and eat supper at about 6PM. This is what works for me. When I walk in the…

I hit a major plateau that lasted over a year. I tryed everything. I increased my workouts to two hour a day/6 days a week. I kept my calorie intake at 1300 for ages then thinking that I was in starvation mode I upped my calories to 1500. I joined a weight loss challenge at work and gained 1.8 pounds by the end of it.…

So sorry to hear this and emotions will be running high. When my parents each passed I chose to take a long walk and honor them by remembering the good, their struggles and how supportive they always were. Eating may make you feel better for a few minutes but ultimately you will pile on more regret. Chose to walk, workout,…

When I get hit with late night cravings I try to drink water and wait. I also like to keep my hands busy. I find that if I am doing something that is not compatable with eating I manage keep busy and forget my urge for food. I find that it is usually my mind that wants the food not my body. I try to do light craft work or…
