  • I eat a diet similar to fit goat, and not because I choose to believe butter and cheese are healthy. I was a vegan for many years and would prefer to not eat animal products if I could. I gain weight when not eating LCHF and become less healthy with that way of eating. It is my experience that this is healthier for me,…

  • I use mine every day still after 6 months but it's to the point I can predict the number of blinks before I see them. Still makes me feel good to see it. The only thing I've seen that throws it off is alcohol and maltitol, they shoot my reading up to red for a short time.
  • I appreciate the offer radii. I don't log enough probably to be helpful. I know this isn't enough info, and probably doesn't sound like a good thing, but I eat only eggs, cheese, nuts (mostly macadamia), high fat meat, coconut oil, butter, cream, the occasional stevia based sweetener, and unsweetened cocoa powder for fat…
  • I've been on Keto since mid-August. I'm also a former vegetarian and eating meat is my biggest challenge. Mostly I stick with nuts, cheese, and lots of eggs and butter. Since many say cheese and nuts will stall weight loss, I'm try to do some days without them and to add meat. I heard Carl's Jr now has a grass-fed natural…
  • Hi, I'm Kate. I was on Medifast last year and was successful with it. I'm off it now and onto Keto but I may try to incorporate it into my new diet. There's another Medifast group here http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/group/706-medifast-losers.
  • Hi, I'm Kate. I'm 5'5" and would like to get to 125, my current weight is 135. I just finished a Thanksgiving challenge in another group and lost 4 pounds in 8 weeks, so it is slow-going. If I could get to 130 by the new year, I'd be thrilled. If I do, I plan to throw out all my old clothes and start fresh! I rented a…
  • If you're planning to do LCHF, I would start by reading this: http://www.dietdoctor.com/how-to-lose-weight A strict LCHF diet is 20g carbs per day, but some people adjust that over time based on their experiences.
  • Here are some links where people have tested the Ketonix readings: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/PatchEFog?month=201409 http://www.lowcarbfriends.com/bbs/nutritional-ketosis-high-fat-low-carb/838511-ketonix-shipped-3.html
  • I have the Ketonix Sport breath ketone analyzer, it seems to work great. It blinks in different colors and gives a reading that correlates well with your blood ketone level. Since it's a one time cost, it's more cost effective than the urine strips for someone like me who tests often. From what I've read, the urine strips…
