  • I often laugh at serving suggestions on cakes that tell me it should serve 6/8 people when clearly its 4 at a stretch..... 😂
  • Well I tried it and I have to say it tastes awful, I am however willing to commit to a community initiative to get these disgusting festive loaves removed from shop shelves by accepting donations for ‘disposal’
  • So this fell into my shopping basket the other day, definitely NOT for the kids
  • I use my ‘standing around flapping my arms’ step count as a guide, however my situation is offset somewhat by the fact I work in a kitchen where at some point I will spend 3 to 4 hours prepping veg for the day. Although the actual cutting of the raw veg requires little lower body movement I do have to lift and move each…
  • Bought these for the kids packed lunch ❤️
  • Tried the salted caramel flavour from Asda the other day. Very nice and I finished the tub in one, lovely
  • Jesus, and I thought I was anal when it came to creating my pre/post work out shakes with amino acids etc. I just drink Huel if I want a balanced complete meal.
  • I have nothing to add regarding hair loss and re-grow rates but I’m also on a very low fat diet while I wait for my operation to have my gallbladder removed. I’m 3 months in so not getting any adverse effects yet but I hope I’m not still waiting in another 7 months
  • As a newbie I would suggest you ignore macros for now. Concentrate on counting calories and the process of accurately logging your food I.e weighing your portion sizes. It can be a steep learning curve but once you get a handle on it, your progress will improve, your nutrition will improve and then you can start dialling…
  • Typically I’m in the kitchen from 6:30am till 4 or 5 pm and most days I fast, guess I’ve just got used to it.
  • 3 years ago when I started my weight loss journey, before I even knew MFP existed I used an app on my phone that used Weight Watchers Pro-points System to count calories. I gave no consideration to my macros at all, as long as I stayed within my pro-points calorie intake I was happy, and I lost well over 60 pounds using…
  • Yes, I lost 65+ pounds on calorie restriction alone before I decided to train for improved health and fitness. Currently I’m finding it difficult to train because of a few health niggles and I’ve lost another 10+ pounds in the last month.
  • Must admit the Christmas is a killer for me, I.typically cut loose and end putting on about 14 pounds. This year is a bit different though as I’m having to deal with an unhappy gall bladder which means I HAVE to control myself or spend Christmas in pain. I do however have an appointment this tuesday with a consultant about…
  • Imho this sort of thing is EVERYTHING wrong with society today.
  • Seems two faced of me to agree with everything people have said when some days I'm barely reaching 1000 calories myself but then I'm dealing with a nasty gallbladder that seems intent on making me suffer if I so much as look a foods with fat in them. Unless you have a medical condion then get those healthy calorie dense…
  • That disclaimer on the label will be specific to that product, if the product only has natural occurring sodium and no added salt then the salt content listed is the amount of salt, in grams derived from naturally occurring sodium.
  • Also, are you drinking enough?
  • I know that if I buy a tub of ice cream then I'm eating that tub of ice cream, normally I would just try to work it into my calorie goal but as I'm currently suffering from a rampant gallbladder I need to keep my fat intake low....so I now buy Ben and Jerry's/Haggen Dazs mini pots and have a few in the freezer for when I…
  • I'm from the UK and I have to convert all my manually entered values for food to get my sodium intake. I don't particularly track salt/sodium but to my mind, if it's a displayed value then it should be accurate. Anyway....salt grams devided by 2.5 then times by 1000 = sodium in mg.
  • I like cheese, but much prefer my cheese in this form...
  • I predominantly use whey isolate and chuck it in my nutri-ninja, smooth as silk.
  • Tilda branded rice....in a pouch, microwave 2 mins and done. Loads of flavours to choose from and makes me a happy bunny.

  • Day 2 for me, the realisation that I have the mobility and coordination of a beached whale at the moment, compounded by the fact I did a 40 min leg workout prior to doing Speed 1.0
  • My sister in law's boyfriend is diabetic so I made a baked cheesecake using Splenda as a sugar substitute (first time ever) and it turned out great..... we all smashed it and he took the rest home to gorge on
  • Could be hidden behind a 'proprietary blend'. Certainly sounds like BA, buzzing and tingling myself from my BA supplement.
  • I don't agree with this opinion at all. Bodylastics do a great series of bands and for a small sub fee a month have hundreds of workout videos that you can use, and not just with bands either.

  • More of a carb bar with a bit of protein, I prefer my 'protein' bars to contain mostly protein and fiber, not 'carbs'
  • Pretty much all this, I use MyProtein for my basic whey isolates, I use TheProteinWorks for their 'create your own' products to create a Casien shake and I use Bulk Powders for getting separate amino's etc to make a pre-workout shake. As for Protein bars, Quest and Karb Killa are good but I also highly recommend…
  • This would be my preference, mix a flavoured protein powder with milk and let him have it as a milkshake to accompany his oats.
  • Sundays is ALWAYS my total day off from ANY training. Aside from that I tend to have three days on, one day off, some weeks that means 5 days training and 2 days off with the midweek day off just a bit of cardio/core and some weeks (like last week) are only 4 days on with 3days off, with the non Sunday days off being light…
