Deadlifts have been amazing for my back. It's my absolute favorite lift.

I just ignore the macros on MFP. I've been keto for my epilepsy for 18 months so when MFP freaks out at my fat grams I just laugh at it. :)
-
I started powerlifting in May. I'm up to a 200lb deadlift, 165lb squat and my bench needs some work but I'm at 80lbs. :)

I've been keto for a year and a half for my epilepsy, and not only has it controlled my seizures, I lost 130lbs. Easy for me to stick to because of the epilepsy, and I'm able to exercise a lot more and have been doing lots long-distance hiking and powerlifting. No downsides, upsides are physical fitness, a healthy weight,…

Just do keto, and make your own ketones. I've lost 130lbs in a year (and controlled my epilepsy) thanks to keto.

42 here - down to the last 15lbs. It goes so much more slowly at the end than the beginning. :)
-
I started Keto March of last year - down 122 lbs and completely controlled my seizures (epilepsy was the reason I went keto). It's seriously the best thing I've done for myself. :)

Keto is the only thing that controls my epilepsy so it's now a long-term way of eating for me. My neurologist runs blood panels every year to make sure everything is in healthy ranges but I've already lost 120 lbs since starting in March 2017. The only thing I've had to adjust is my intake so I don't continue to lose…

Started keto 10 months ago - down 120 lbs. :)

Hey Kori! Actually I'm now off of all epilepsy medication - before I stopped I was taking 3,000 mg of levetiracetam daily. I'm medication free for the first time in 22 years and I had no idea my brain could work so well. :)

If you haven't already subscribed to the keto subreddit I highly recommend it. You'll need to wade through a lot of information but the search feature is pretty useful in this regard. If you refer to the sidebar on the main page there's an informative FAQ section. Feel free to add me as a friend and ask questions if you…

I live in Seattle so all over the place - Discovery Park Trail, Tiger Mountain, Trap Lake, the Alpine Lakes Wilderness area. I love that my gym is outside. :)

Hi there! I'm 5'10". :)

Hahah the things I see on my walks are hilarious. For example, this was from today: https://www.instagram.com/p/BeGg_b-l1ow/

Deadlifts have done wonders for my core. I have muscle definition in my abs and torso and have never done a single sit-up.
-
I second these - I get them on Amazon and have been rather impressed. They could be a bit roomier in the calf section but otherwise they're durable and not at all see through.

Eggs. I'd also have avocado every day if they weren't so bloody expensive right now. :D

I don't usually worry about sodium. I sometimes go over what MFP recommends but I've never noticed any ill effetcs from it, aside from being a tad bloated the next day (usually in my hands). Because my keto macros are much different for medical keto (if I have too much protein it can trigger a seizure - I have to have…

Keto has been the best thing I've ever done for myself. I started it to control my epilepsy, and after 11 months, I'm 10 months seizure-free and down 100 lbs after a year.

I do a lot of long distance walking and hiking, and average about 80 miles per week (I'm a dog walker so the cardio is mostly incidental.) I just love being outside and exploring the city, which causes me to not even think about the duration or mileage, I'm just happy being active and outdoors.
-
I'm in love with walking. I do a lot of long distance treks (in the city and on trails) and this combined with keto has helped me lose over 100 lbs (and also build some epic calves!) Invest in some good shoes - taking care of your feet is key. :)

I'm 5'10" - mine's on Imgur so I'll just share the link. =) https://imgur.com/gallery/KkRUR

42 checking in. :D Feel free to add me as well!

Yes, but there's a trick to it I've learned - I separate the yolk and put that in first, then put in as much white as will fit. Sometimes the mass of the egg exceeds the space left by the pit, then you're left with an eggy mess. :)

I've been on keto for epilepsy for 9 months. Aside from being seizure-free for 8 months, keto has been amazing in transforming how I think about food and fitness. I have nonstop energy during the day, sleep 8 or more solid hours every night, and have great endurance during my workouts. Of course, everyone's mileage may…

I'm keto so they're a staple in my diet. Sometimes I bake them with an egg in the center, which is *amazing*.
-
I lost over 100lbs at 41 with the keto diet and strength training/hiking.
-
I would have two or three days a month with cluster seizures, which can hit me with about 5 seizures in rapid succession. I hated those days. :(
-
Thank you so much! I am *very* relieved - it's so amazing to be off of the medication. =)

Stationary bike and Netflix. Because apparently I know how to rock a Saturday. :D
