To call someone fat is seen as rude but to call someone skinny is somehow a compliment. My daily goal is 1200 and I would burn an average of 500 calories a day on exercise. I never eat these back and am losing approximately 2lbs per week.

I'm down 15 since I started on 14th August. Actually hoping to hit at least 30 by 10th Dec when I am heading to NY on a shopping trip. Hoping to treat myself to a new wardrobe then. The thought of that is really keeping me motivated.

i walked for 35 mins this morning - I was walking for one hour each morning up til this week but mornings have gotten very dark and where I walk is a bit isolated so I start a bit later now (6.15 am instead of 5.45 am) and do the other 30 mins in the evening instead.

I find what is really helping is not eating back the calories that I earn on exercise. I walk every day and take at least 3 classes per week in the gym but stick to my basic 1200 calories per day which leaves a fairly large deficit. The weight is coming down at a steady pace and the exercise keeps me from being too hungry.
