  • Before, I did squats and lunges without weights, still got really good results. Once I added in the weights and the exercises got harder, I hated it. But then I saw I got even better results, and realized that I just have to power through.
  • Did you lose a pound? (:
  • This is a lot harder than I thought it would be, but day 5 is completed! (:
  • Bump! (: So far I've completed 850 jumping jacks - 150 to go. (It's a little easier if you do 50 each turn, and if you're watching twice, do two sets per commercial break)
  • Anybody who has heart rate monitors, starting tomorrow if you could tell us how many calories you burned from the 1000 jumping jacks, that'd be great so we could have a rough estimate. :)
  • Okay, that's great. (: Don't forget to write down (I'd recommend a tally mark) for every 50 jumping jacks you do, or else it's really easy to forget where you are, especially if you do the jumping jacks during commercial breaks!
  • Unfortunately, I can't try PB2 because there are no retail stores near Chicago and I prefer not to buy products online. Right now I'm leaning towards MaraNatha, I think I'll purchase both the peanut butter version and the almond butter version.
  • Has anybody ever tried the MaraNatha Organic Creamy & Roasted Peanut Butter? Did you like it?
  • The lowest I could find was 180 calories, but I didn't look too far before deciding MFP would be able to help me out more. (: I know about the Nutella alternative (Chocolate Dreams Peanut Butter) and that's about 170 calories for 2 tablespoons, but I love Peanut Butter and I'd like to find something below 125, but I'm not…
  • I do what you do and I just estimate it! I'm always too shy to ask about the nutritional value and end up looking it up online, but usually I can't find it, so I'll make sure to start asking now, at least for the peace of mind.
  • Today I tasted Atheno's Roasted Red Pepper Hummus...all I have to say is :noway: It tasted horrible! I've never tried Sabra because everybody says it has too many calories, so I just stay away from it in general. Avocado hummus sounds really good though! :)
  • I put honey and blueberries in my greek yogurt. :) It tastes so good. <3
  • Gross...no thank you...
  • I'm not overweight, but I do the C25K program too and it's been helping me a lot. :) I'm on Week 3, and I love it. :) However, like everybody said before, doing each week twice would probably be best because it'll help build your stamina. Don't continue forward until you feel ready.
  • It improves your skin and helps flushes out the toxins.
  • I just finished Week 2, Day 1 today. My leg was hurting for some reason, but I got through it. (:
  • That sounds awesome! Where did you buy your blender? Speaking of which, what are some good stores to buy blenders from that are still affordable?
  • The protein shake I tried today (Bolthouse Farms Protein Plus) had 21 nutrients in it, and had 210% of the daily value for vitamin c, etc. However, it was 190 calories for just 16 grams of protein. Those other protein shakes that are below 200 calories but have 25 grams of protein or more - do they also have nutrients in…
  • Lindt has the percent of cocoa on the chocolate bar wrapper. The higher you go, the healthier it is. But it will also be a little more bitter. I like 70% but also keep 90% on hand.
  • Okay, thanks. If I have around a 1200 net calories daily, would eating 60-75 grams of protein be healthy? Or would it be better to increase my calorie intake too if I want to increase my protein intake?

  • Don't buy junk food. I know it's hard, but it's true. When you go to the grocery store, stay away from the cookies. Keep in mind that if you ever REALLY have a craving for a cookie, you can go over to a Subway and get a fresh one, or even get one from the grocery store, but hopefully just the thought of having to go…
  • Almonds Plain Greek Yogurt Blueberries (always. frozen or fresh, of course preferably fresh) Laughing Cow cheese Hummus Baby Carrots
  • I'm praying for you and your family. Good luck and God bless. <3
  • Okay, thanks. :) Do you think it'd be reasonable therefore to start off with 5 pound weights? I'm skinny, tall, and pretty scrawny. I'm basically weak haha.

  • I'm 14. What do you mean by serious lifting? :/ My plan would to do strength training 2-3 times a week, for perhaps 15 minutes at a time. Do you think that'd be okay?

  • Teach her by example - when you, her daughter, shows self control and confidence, perhaps she will too. I'm assuming you're talking about food and eating, so instead of having her go to Dominicks, go to Whole Foods Market. Buy new cookbooks. Get a gym membership. If you're just talking about it in general - well that's…
  • I typically add onions and green chili. Tastes delicious, and isn't too spicy.
