  • I love Jillian Michael's videos. A lot of them are free on YouTube or you can buy them cheap on DVD or on iTunes. She has changed my body with 30 minutes a day. I totally sound like an infomercial but I look way better than when I was running 4 miles 4-5 days a week.
  • It's funny that I found this post because I just decided to do the same. I don't drink often but when I do...I almost always gain weight. My inhibitions about food go away. I eat 3x as many calories as I would if I hadn't had a sip. I bought a bottle of wine yesterday and it is going to last me the next 10 days. I get to…
  • I try to eat between 300-400 calories for breakfast. Eggs, whole grain toast with fruit or a smoothie with whey protein and fruit. I think it sets my whole day up. If I only eat 200 calories I tend to have a huge craving after dinner.
  • Thanks, everyone! I take Cataflam (an anti-inflammatory) daily and wear 400 dollar orthotics. I am going to look up stretching exercises and I think stretching 1st thing in the morning is a great idea. I don't have a lot of money and my current insurance is not great. I will try to do this without PT but if it worsens then…
  • I did that last year and ended up running 4 5ks in one summer. Right now I am dealing with plantar fascitis on my left foot which caused me to stop my running routine. Hoping to start back up in mid-June for a 5k in mid-August!! BEST OF LUCK TO YOU :)
  • I don't like the term because I am a "fat girl" right now. I am no where near skinny or skinny fat. However, I know that I am healthier than some of my co-workers who are a size 2! I attempt to eat healthy. I am really good at working out and do it often. Some of them have never even been to a gym. It surprised me when one…
  • I'm sorry your partner is not supportive. I would suggest counseling like some of the others on here. Maybe having a third party there would help. If he is chef, maybe making healthier dinner options could become a challenge for him. Know that there are people on here that are here to support you.
  • i have had shin splints on and off since i was a runner in high school. They came back when i started working a job where i was standing around for 8 hours a day (and only in my left shin). I will have to try those compression stockings.
  • I work as a Medical Assistant at a podiatry office. It is probably plantar facsiitis. I would try to go to a foot doctor in your area. They can prescribe you an anti inflammatory, orthotics or heel cups. good luck!::
  • I traveled all over Southeast Asia by myself. Some rules that I made for myself were: 1. never accept a drink bought by a stranger 2. keep alcoholic beverages to a minimum (you are girl that is alone) 3. never tell anyone that you are traveling alone. I would lie and make up elaborate stories. i had so much fun with this…
  • i try to do it only once a week. My weight can go up and down a lot, if i weigh in on a daily basis. I find that i can see more of a loss if i weigh in one time a week. It is super easy to get obsessed and start weighing every day or multiple times a day
  • I would totally do this!! I live in Michigan and it is so cold out. I need something to keep me motivated during these cold months. I am 28 and 182 lbs and 5'5" Goal for St. Patty's 162 lbs Ultimate Goal is set at 140 lbs.
  • i found out her "job" is through the hospital her family donated a wing in her finace's name. but she is gorgeous
  • Thanks for all the love and congrats to all of you who have completed your 5ks!! Break legs to those are doing theres in the next few weeks. We are all doing it!!!!!
  • naked, 1st thing in the morning, after I go to the bathroom. ONLY one time a week and NEVER before that time of the month. LOL
  • I am 5'5 and 169 lbs and have the same amount of cellulite as when I got down to 139 lbs. I do believe that more weight training in the lower region would help a little but it comes down to genetics. My mother was 5'7 and around 125 lbs. She was very active, walked almost every day, and had a healthy diet. That woman…
  • Thanks for all the advice. Yes, I do need to be careful with the disk. I am going to do a week or 2 of the program and see how my back does before I commit to a race. I have been doing a lot more core work so it should be stronger. I see my chiropractor tomorrow and I'll have her way in too! Love that there are so many…
  • i love olives!! Also, sometimes i drink an 8 oz can of G2 gatorade. It really helps with my energy
  • My goal is to log my food 6 days a week. For some reason Monday has kinda become my "day off". On that day, I don't really worry too much about how much or what I am eating. I am sure I am not eating as many calories as I did when I was heavier. My weakness has always been sweets. I love baking! Unfortunately, I also love…
  • I have been cutting back on my fruit so my sugar isn't so high but then I keep eating sweets. I'll try adding another piece of fruit back in. thanks!
  • TOOT AWAY!!!! Good job!
  • raw fruits and vegetables, whole grain bread, hard boiled eggs, baked chicken with no skin, lettuce with lemon juice are some of my favorites
  • We all lose motivation at some point. Use the community of my fitness pal to help you on your journey. Getting rid of the weight takes time. There are good days and bad days. Just remember this is a lifelong journey, not a few month diet! Feel free to add me and I'll support!
  • Wow! That is such an accomplishment! Good for you for getting rid of those clothes. We do NOT need them around anymore.
  • You are right, that is NOT the right attitude. I am going to put those bigger pants in my "give a way box". I won't ever need to wear those again!
  • You don't need luck. You will do it!
  • I love that we all have our "skinny clothes." Thank you for sharing your stories. If we support each other, we can all reach our goals. Right now I am getting ready to move and get rid of excess stuff. I know I should throw away my "big jeans" but I'm so scared to. What if I gain it all back and then I have nothing to…
  • hard boiled eggs. Fast, loads of protein, and keep me full for a few more hours.
  • Wow! Sometimes I think "I could never actually be that skinny. It isn't healthy for a body type like mine." Well, that is just an excuse to stay overweight! I see you and you look healthy, happy, and have a killer body!!! Thank you for being an inspiration. I cannot to see how you continue on this journey.
