I have been keeping a calorie log for at least 30 years. I have maintained my weight, blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol consistently. I am the mom of 3 adult children and 4 grand babies. I wouldn't stop counting calories if you begged me to.

Do you know of a good nutritionist? Get a THOROUGH check up (blood work, thyroid, metabolism, cholesterol, pressure, etc.) I am at an age where it is extremely difficult to lose! I too have been having the same problem. I need to see a physician but I am enjoying this thread. I really think it is the post menopausal state for me. Since I had a hysterectomy about 5 years ago, the weight is stubbornly hanging on, even doing the programs and regimine I had done in the past. :)

Veggies are full of water and I find when I throw an extra 'salad' into my diet, I am fuller longer. I'm not a big 'water' drinker so I need to compensate like this. When I'm 'eating' psychologically I'm fuller than when I drink the water.

TOTALLY EAT THE PIZZA! You are allowed one splurge a week (250 calories) If you have a desire, nothing else will satisfy it. Enjoy a big healthy salad with it! A GREAT meal.

Calories do not include 'sodium'. I find that I retain a lot these days. Low fat products contain high sugar contents so you really want to stay away from a lot of packaged foods and eat pure food that you prepare. You are on the RIGHT TRACK!

I think cheat days should happen at least ONE month into your weight loss program and not sooner. It takes 30 days to establish a habit and one day to break it so give yourself some time if you just started out! When you do 'cheat' make sure you add EXTRA movement into your day and don''t go over 500 calories. Certainly…
