  • ^^^This. I get up at 5am, if I don't eat by 7 I'm feeling rotten for the rest of the day.
  • I jumped off the calorie counting train a month or so ago and I have lost more weight in the last few weeks then I did in the 90+ days that I was "counting" and over thinking every bite that went into my mouth. It wasn't working for me. I eat when I'm hungry, usually breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack or two. I really…
  • This is exactly why. They are very heavy to start with, they have a trainer live with the for the first 3 months, their food intake is very strict, and tey work out like crazy. But once that trainer leves and they go back to real life they generally slow right down on the weight loss.
  • Did you watch Jamie Olivers show about school lunches? Its pretty disgusting.
  • On average I drink 9 cups a day. I can't stand coffee, and don't like milk, juice or tea, its pretty easy. I do carry a Camelback waterbottle with me, it has a straw and holds 3 cups at a time. I fill it in the morning, lunch time, before dinner and sometimes once again in the evening.
  • Eat crap and stay under your calories and you should lose weight. Eat foods that are good for you and stay under your calories, and you'll lose weight AND feel good. Your choice.
  • Meat is the best way to absorb iron (heme). Spinach and other dark leafy greens are also good, (non-heme), beans, molasses, and baked potato with skin. If you do take supplements they are best on an empty stomach, or with something that has vitamin C. Things like dairy (because of the calcium), whole grains and certain…
  • I agree with almost everyone else. Its a battle of wills, and shes winning. Take the chicken nuggets and throw them in the garbage. Honestly tell her that they are all gone and give her something else to eat. She won't starve. If you want to cushion it a bit you could make your own nuggets and tell her that she can have…
  • I agree what 6 month old babies don't need fast food, pizza and cake all the time. I have 3 kids, we have never bought baby food. Our oldest ate homemade baby food, our younger two turned their noses up and ate what we were eating by 8 months old. Not mashed, just in little peices. They get treats, if we want Mcdonalds,…
  • We all eat the same thing, cooked by me. I am just as concerned with what goes into their bodies as mine, so our meals are healthy.
  • Right after I had my son, my daughter (22 months old) spent a good hour with my poking my belly fat in and laughing hysterically when it popped out again. Thanks honey.
  • I've had 3 c/s, and I will never have a nice tummy again. I weighed 117lbs before I got pregnant last time, and I didn't have much loose skin but it wasn't as tight as it should be either. I also had this awful roll at the bottom that didn't go away no matter how skinny I was.
  • Its different for everyone after surgery. Some people have no problems, some people have lots. I had my gallbladder out 2.5 years ago I have lots. i can't eat anything with any grease in it. if I eat McDonads fries (even a few) i am running for the bathroom within an hour and have a sore tummy and diarrhea for days…
  • ^^^^ THIS^^^^ 800 calories is very very low, my toddlers eat more then that most days. Eventually it will catch up with you. if you decide to continue eating that low, make sure you are getting all the nutrients/protein etc that you need to function.
  • Thats what I thought too.
  • If you don't want to drink, then don't drink. Its your decision, not theirs. If you do want to drink, then drink, but don't blame it on others as "peer pressure". Own your decision and either fit it into your calories that are left or work out before so you have the extras to use.
  • I had the exact same thing happen for about a year before I had my 2nd baby. In my case it was just low blood pressure that dropped dramatically when i stood up and then it would regulate again and all was well. There was no cause found, and there was nothing they could do to help it out except tell me to eat more salty…
  • Mine is private for two reasons. One is that its no-ones business what I"m eating, and I don't want anyones comments about it. I know what I"m eating, good and bad, and really don't need any input. The other reason mine if private is because I rarely fill it out. Or I fill it out halfway and not finish...it wouldn't be…
  • We don't have much junk food in our house. No candy, no chips. Not only because I dn't want to eat them, but because my husband doesn't want them (and he will if its here) and because our kids do not need it. Nothing like a toddler temper tantrum because they aren't allowed the candy out of the cupboard. When my husband…
  • I haven't had a drink in 5 years. I don't overly enjoy it (I hate wine) and after 3 horrible pregnancies where I threw up every single morning/afternoon and night for 9 long months I swore I would never ever ever wake up with a hangover again, and I won't. Because thats exatly what morning sickness feels like.
  • I'm also severly anemic, for the last month I have been taking 3 - 300mg supplements a day, but I still don't feel great. I get re-checked soon. Its only been an 10 year battle to get it up and steady. Not vegan, I like cheese too much for that! And my brother has epilepsy so I know a bit about that too. Feel free to…
  • I already do it without really thinking about it. I guess I'm a flexitarian? Meat generally grosses me out. I was going to say I did it today, but I had a bite of chicken while feeding the kids their dinner. Tuesday is spaghetti day, thats a meat free day. And Wednesday is spaghetti leftover day, so another meat free day.
  • If I have to have bottled water, then Dasani. But since I am at home most of the day I just refill my water bottle with our water here. Not tap water (it has a funny taste) but we get the big water bottles that go on the water cooloers, and we have a pump for it. There is always a jug of cold water in the fridge ready to…
  • I think you are doing all you can do already. You can keep the junk out of the house, encourage her to eat better, invite her to exercise etc. but you can't force her to do anything. She is a teenager, and has her own mind and needs to make her own decisions. Just let her now that you are always there for her and keep…
  • I would think that having mayo and ranch out on the counter all day and not chilled is a huge health code violation. Thats disgusting. I worked at Wendys, and McDonalds and neither were like that. McDonalds was worse then Wendys for sure, but nothing like that. THey actually have "sauce guns" at our McDonalds. The…
  • Find a dietician. They are trained in this stuff and will be able to help you so much more. You ladies have some bad doctors! I am very suddenly even more thankful for the doctor I have, and I thought he was awesome before.
  • THANK YOU!!! I was trying to find a nice way to say that exactly, but it wasn't working. My kids are picky, and they have allergies, (varying degrees of milk and my son is allergic to soy) so cooking for everyone isn't the easiest thing. I don't think its fair that we would feed our bodies healthy and then feed the kids…
  • Yes! I changed my eating habits a few years ago and started walking way way more and lost 60lbs in a few months. I didn`t count calories, no weight watchers, I ate sensibly when I was hungry and tried to walk at least once a day. And not long walk, sometimes it was 15 minutes to the store and back.
  • Try an elemination diet. Its probably the easiet way to see what bothers you. Either take out everything you think is making you sick and one at a time add them back in to see what happens (and make sure to leave 3 days for a reaction) or take out one thing for a week then add it back in and see. I can have soy and dairy,…
  • I never knew that there was anything different from the iced tea that I knew when I when I was litte. I thought all iced tea came from an almost pure sugar powder mixed with water....guess not! My MIL said something about "american" iced tea once and all I could thik was "who would want to drink tthat" LOL. The US misses…
