I try to enjoy myself, stay active and not overindulge. I set my calories to maintenance.

I have a Polar FT60. Having a heartrate monitor with chest strap was most important to me. Hubby recently got the Polar A300. Works great for him.

Get there a few minutes before class and let the instructor know you are new. They should help you set up the bike properly and explain the tension and positions to you. Take it at your own pace. Your butt will be sore but after 2/3 classes it will get better.

This....It happens to me also only on the elliptical. My shoes fit properly.. I was fitted at a running store. Try lifting your feet occassionally and even peddling backwards at times.

You are doing great with your water!! I too look for a sweet treat in the evening. I usually just save a few calories and have something small/low cal like a frozen yogurt bar or a biscotti and tea. or keep busy. LOL thats a hard one so good luck.

Thanks 2run2ski! I also realized that I do better on days that I planned my food and snacks ahead of time. The day of my binge I did not bring my lunch to the office and went out and got a 500 cal small sandwich....that probably was part of the reason I binged and the other was I drank less water and was tired and lazy…
