I just joined the group. I've been away from MFP for quite a while, and I am looking for a way to get back into it and caring for my body. In June I have a vacation and a few other events planned, but that's why I'm choosing to start! No more excuses for me. I'm glad to be a part of this group.

Yes Please!! I'd love to be a part of if. I was very active on MFP a few years ago with great success. But I've since put some back on, and I am looking forward to all changes to get ready for my September wedding!! Thanks for creating the group!

Is tyring to start back up, and needed to read what was on here. Thank you. It reminded me why this site worked for me in the first place. Cheers.

Looks amazing!

Don't get defeated! Hang in there, and you've certainly come to the right place! Feel free to add me as a friend!

"The Nasty Bits" ~ Anthony Bourdain next: re-read of "Watership Down" and then "The Hunger Games." Which better be as good as everyone's made it out to be!

Thank you! I will check it out!

Pittsburgh! (For now...looking to move back to the south east part of the state!)

I love venison...I always eat as much as I can! Cook one slice of bacon in the pan then take it out. Leave the fat in and cook the venison in that - adds a huge dimension of taste to venison. This one looks good (food network) and like a recipe in my venison cookbook but I couldn't remember the measurements! 2 tablespoons…

I'm currently reading "Cutting for Stone." I just finished "Bel Canto" by Ann Pachett. But I read just about anything I can get my hands on...being an English Literature graudate and all...

I'll jump on! I'll start it tonight:)

Thanks for the introduction, Bri! Congrats on the marathon! That's amazing! My name is Jeannine, but I have lots of nick names: J9, Bean, Neaner... so just pick what you like and go with it (or come up with one of your own)! I'm 27 and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I had a few phases in my life where I was at a weight I'm happy…

I want in! I've been looking for a jump start to get back into this!

Feeling good about day 2: 1) 8,000 steps/day - check! (around 10,000 - I forgot my pedometer, but tried to duplicate Wednesday) 2) 1 hr Wii sports/day - no check! (spent an evening with friends, but made a conscious effort to stand and move around a lot) 3) log to MFP/day - check! (completed and logged last night before…

Yummo! Trying this tonight! (I love to freeze fat free cool whip so I can eat it kind of like ice cream...doing that too!) Thank you!

Welcome! I've felt the same way about my family. You can get tons of support and the knowledge of how to do it right here! Feel free to add me as a friend! Good luck!:drinker:

Feeling good about day 1: 1) 8,000 steps/day - check! (12,435) 2) 1 hr Wii sports/day - check! (25 baseball, 15 golf, 15 boxing, 5 on daily status) 3) log to MFP/day - check! (completed and logged last night before bed!) Keep up the good work everyone!

Another woman in my office and I joined MFP together, and although everyone seems to have forgotten, we've had to ask the other ladies to stop bringing in treats. None of us need them. (Bring a bowl of fruit instead!) Good luck to you! Keep your chin up!

Hi! Welcome! I hope you find this site as helpful and uplifiting as I do! (I've been away for a while and am just starting back in, so if you want to be friends, we can!)
-
Just saw this now, so I will be starting my week from Wednesday-Wednesday. What a great idea. I frequently get overwhelmed! 1. At least 8,000 steps a day 2. Wii sports for an hour every day 3. Log MFP every day Thanks everyone!

I make my own popcorn at home around this time! I add no salt, but then can put on what you want! Garlic powder with a shake of dried basil; melt a small dish of peanut butter and dip the pop-corn in; red pepper flakes; everything! You can get whatever flavor you want out of it. (But you have to make it yourself!) Good…

Grab some tin foil and put everything in there! We make packets out of everything. I've put our favorite pork chop packet below. You can cook them on the grill or in the oven. And use your imagination! Try all sorts of sauces and proteins, veggies! They're so filling - no need for rice, potatoes or any other carb! Feel…

I wasn't able to do day 3 yesterday due to a pain in my knee (not just muscle soreness). I did it first thing this morning, and am considering doing day 4 tonight...good or bad plan? Keep up the good work everyone!
-
You look amazing! Congratulations on all your hard work! Keep up the good work!

Day 2 went much better for me! I was more intent on holding my core than relying on my legs like yesterday...which is probably why my legs hurt so badly today; I was using more legs than core! Not only did I almost fall down the steps this morning...but every time I would get up from my chair my thighs burned very badly!…

I just finished day one...then some water and a cool shower. It is oppressive in my house at 85 degrees and no A/C. This is going to be difficult for me...I think the hardest part will be dealing with the way my body feels afterwards, and the way my mind immediately goes to a panic / anxiety attack where I am convinced I…

Sounds AH-MAZING! I love me some coffee any way I can have it:) Looking forward to trying this one!

Thank you for posting this! I was feeling tired and not motivated...but you can be da*n sure I'm doing 30 Day Shred and maybe an extra walk tonight!
