I have been hashi for a long time, but the key to turning things around have been vitamin D supplements and going paleo. I still eat rice, but cutting dairy, wheat, and sugar has had a dramatic impact on my weight loss and moods! I am two weeks in and I cannot wait to see how I feel in another few weeks!

I am in my third month of switching from synthroid to armour thyroid... there have been many pros and cons, but I am so far very, very pleased with how I am feeling!
-
I was on Levothyroxine for a long time, but it started making me feel ill in the mornings. I switched to brand name Synthoid and felt better immediately - i'm on 225mcg and have been for a while.

I am too! I actually posted something similar a few months ago when I joined up... I have found no secret, but I can't stress how important it is to keep some kind of mood/energy journal so when you start feeling bad you change your meds ASAP. Come to think of it, I felt sick for a long time and the first thing my new doc…

I needed this today! Usually I think these are silly, but RIGHT ON.

Hey! I've been making a version of this. The first time I did it, I used cupcake liners and the egg stuck to it, making it very difficult to eat. The second time I forgot the pam and the egg got stick in the container. Do you have trouble with this and/or solutions? Maybe the EVOO is the key to making it not stick...

FABULOUS!

For me, all I need to regain excitement is to troll the MFP "success stories" board. Then I look at pictures of me and imagine them being a "before". Works every time for working out... not so much for the food though :-)

Calories are calories and that is what will lose or gain weight for you - nutrients are there for you to tweak until you feel better. So while a chocolate milkshake would be within my calories, I've come to learn I'll feel really crappy afterwards. Same for pizza, but pizza's worth it to me :-).

Awesome!

Very interesting question!

LOVED that book! I avoid chain restaurants like the plague now!
-
It's like the real you came out! That's so inspiring. I am your before right now... thanks!

Thanks every body - I am definitely happy about inches -- and I do think they are more important than the scale -- BUT when the scale is 333 for a 6ft woman, I think we could agree that's not a good number to keep around! I'll definitely keep pushing, because besides that I have energy for things that I didnt have three…

Wow! Not only size, you look to have lost 20 YEARS!

ON Double Rich Chocolate - it's SO GOOD. My fiance and I go through a 5lb thing of it every two months.... it's on Amazon.com for a little under $40.
-
I have to say, I had the same terrifying fear. But I shared it (333 - a freaking linebacker) and I cant express how freeing it was! For guys, it truly is just a number. If you share it, he'll be able to celebrate with you fully when you reach your goal!

WOW!

I bet that kid doesn't know how hard you've been working!
-
Optimum Nutrition Double Rich Chocolate - Tastes just like chocolate milk to me! GNC has them, but it's cheaper online through Amazon.com. I just started a subscription for a 5lb jug every two months....

Each picture looks happier than the one before! Great job.

I feel the same way - it makes it so much easier to stay focused!

AWESOME!

6ft and definitely "curvy". Everyone tries to say its worse to be short and overweight, but that doesnt make sense. If you're short and overweight you can still find plus size pants that will fit...

The wisdom I usually go by (and im not sure who said this) but if you feel it in your neck and up, keep working out, if its below the neck, you need to rest. I think neck down goes for body aches and neck up goes for cold symptoms/foggyness.

I'm 6 foot at 330 lbs and myfitness put me at 1930 cals/day.... from what I can tell, the math is sound - it calculates my "burn" at 2900 and takes away 1000 calories for weight loss. I think the scale is what matters... you can adjust your calorie goal each day as you go, so try mfp and see if there are results, then try…

Wow - good info to keep in mind when calculating carb/fat/fiber ratios....
-
I definitely feel you - it seems like its a constant start and stop! But the point is to accept that youll have to start over every time. Thats what makes you successful!

things that are easily recognizable.... think chicken and veggies in a thin or clear sauce, not brown fried things in dark sauce. fill small plates and eat slowly....

what happens happens - i feel the same way sometimes. you stop looking for a second and somehow you're at the drive through paying for nuggets (or in my case, chik fil a nuggets). as long as you're honest in your log (chart EVERYTHING) and you only do it every so often, it's fine! in my experience, emotionally berating…
