Wow!! Big difference. You look great.

yes, I had an ultra sound on my carotid artery and everything is clear. I also have bursitis in my left arm and technician said it's possible that the inflammation could be pinching the nerve.

Thanks for the replies. I need to get back into the gym. I definitely don't drink enough water either. I hate water, but I'm not a soda person either. I'll go back into my food diary and fill in exactly what I ate yesterday and I'll probably be blown away about my mindless eating. I'm going to stick around this time and…

Hi I belong to this group but I'm mostly a lurker. I have been beating myself up trying to lose this weight. I am currently at 193 and my goal is 145/150. I have problems sticking to any sort of diet. I have no willpower. I lift weights (for 18 years now) but diet is 90% of the success. I don't really have any questions,…

you can really see the difference. You look great

Congratulations! Are you doing low carb? Your diary is not visible.

You can add me but I'm still learning.//www.fitbit.com/user/378FH8

You need to raise your calories if you are not losing anything. Try 1500. Or there is also another site that you can incorporate with MFP. It's called IIFYM.com Once you fill out the calculator, it will give you your macros. Go back to goals in MFP and edit them to reflect these new numbers. I use 35% Carbs, 35% fats and…

I am definitely out of control on the weekends

I've been playing around with the calorie number here on MFP. 1200 is definitely too low. I bumped it up to 1500 and lost 1.5 lbs, so I bumped it again only I went a little too far. I went up to 2400 ( I was in a carb frenzy) and gained 4 tenths of a pound. So now I know where I shouldn't be. Today I'm going to shoot for…

I love this post! You described me :D Congratulations! How many calories did you go by? I found I couldn't lose anything at 1200.

There is a site called IIFYM.com you plug in all your stats. It tells you how many calories you should be eating along with how many grams of protein/carbs/fats. Come back to MFP and under goals, change your numbers. You can eat what you want as long as you stay within those numbers. It's called flexible dieting. My…

I love this thread!! That is exactly what I do. MFP set my calories at 1200 which I found out are way to low. I am adding calories every few days and now the scale is finally starting to move. I should be at 1900 but that number scares me. I am at 1500 for now which still gives me a deficit. If I stall out again I will…

I make losing weight alot harder than it has to be . I had been sitting on 1200 calories and losing nothing. I was working out (total body workouts) up until this week due to lower back and still losing nothing. A few days ago I started to up my calories. First to 1300 and now I am at 1500. Realistically I should be at…
-
Did you go by the calories that MFP suggested? Mine suggest 1200 and the scale doesn't move so I bumped it up to 1300 yesterday (same thing) and 1500 today. I think I'm going to settle in there a few days and see what happens.
-
Just my thoughts. I highly doubt that you are burning 1600 calories. I'd recheck that or is that 1600 a week? I do a total body workout 3 days a week for 30 min keeping heart rate between 135 and 145 and I burn around 600 a session. As for calories, I think you are too low at 1000. I have a hard time losing weight also and…

Whoa..great pictures.

I love your story. It's not about cutting carbs, just everyday living and showing that it can be done. You look great.

I agree with upping your calories to 1300. Keep in mind you are losing inches , so you are definitely on the right path.

My heart stopped when I saw your title. Other than that, congratulations. :)

How did you figure out your meals to fit your macros?

Hi, I'm 63. I have recently gotten serious about tracking even if it isn't the best of foods. I have been going to the gym for 17 years but I wasn't seeing results. Once I started tracking I can see where I am losing my stomach. I lift weights 3xs a week and walk a half hour on the treadmill on the days I lift. I still…

Hi, I am new here. My name is Mary Ann and I am 63. I sent out friend request so I hope you will add me. I'm not too good with low carb. I know it works, but for me, the very minute I get lazy with it I gain all the weight back. Maybe I can learn something here.
-
I was considering whether to buy a Fitbit or not. I'm glad I found this thread.
-
Maybe I'm a blockhead :D but I went into my MFP goals, I added that I am moderately active 3 xs a week. Gave me a calorie goal of 1280. So...if the other calculation says I should eat 1890 and I burn maybe 300 calories 3xs a week from exercise, and my goal is to lose 1.5 to 2 lbs a week (I wish) should I be eating around…

That's sounds good to me
