I absolutely find diet helps with inflammation. I find I have trouble with dairy, grains and possibly night shades. When I eat the stuff all my joints seize up, when I don't, they feel a lot better. I'm still trying to narrow it down to which exact foods cause me the grief.

If all of you could add me too that would be great! I'm back at mfp ...I have a 5 year old and a 6 month old. Trying to lose about 50-70 lbs and get back into shape. I like to follow recipes so I don't get bored. I'm willing to share if you guys are!

My family eats a lot of Paleo meals. We like Diane Sanfillipo's books Practical Paleo, the 21 day Sugar Detox. Both have really fantastic recipes and a ton of super easy to digest information on how/why to go paleo. Her website is called balanced bites...tons of recipes, podcasts etc.

I love the detailed accounts and thoughts. Do any of you find that the binges are brought on by emotions? I'm really working to try and relate my binges to a trigger and see if I can't stop them.

Mike, I'd say I could have wrote that post...I'm just getting back at mfp...., I have a history of being really active (and not so active) so I could use some encouragement too...as for the food diary, I'm eating a lot of paleo meals....and some "if a cave man found it he'd eat it meals too;) I'm really trying to cut out…

Hi. I'm nursing a 6 month old baby boy right now and I have set my calories to just under 2000 (it's rare I don't have lots left over). First weigh in tomorrow. So we will see if my intake is sufficient to lose weight ( I figure I must have been eatin a lot more than 2000 a day to need to lose 50-70 lbs). My milk supply…

Emotions derail me every time! I have started to record what sets me off so maybe I can recognize some key triggers and find a new way to process them.

I'm at 255 at 5'6 and 35 years old. I'll be curious to see how my skin looks after losing. I wonder if I'll have tons of loose flapping skin or if it will tighten back up ok. Has anyone lost say 50-70lbs and had their tummy skin be ok? If anyone wants to add me as a friend that'd be great as I could use some support.

Hi, I would like to join this group, I just picked up a copy over the weekend, I plan to start on the 15th or 17th as I go to boxing on Mondays and Wed's. I'm really curious to see what the results will be on my body. I suggest we all list our measurements/stats and if comfortable take before photos so we can share our…

Back in the day I trained 2hrs a day 6 days a week in martial arts; lifted weights for at least one HR before and most nights ran to and from the gym(5km min each way); and taught to kids on the 7th....I was obsessed, needed release from some stressful life stuff... I burned out....but I wasn't listening to my body and I…

I would love to be sexier by Christmas! Count me in! What are the challenges? How do we do this? I've not been an MFP groupie yet:)

Simply amazing dedication! You look wonderful!

I would pick protein. I have read a lot of threads on here that seem to beleive MFP sets protein lower than required.

I heard something similar, the analagy was it's like pouring bacon grease down the sink drain, if you run hot water down after it keeps it melted and flushes it out of the pipe before it solidifies. I have no idea if the same applies to humans. I'm curious to see what the mfp'ers have to say.

Hahahahaha! You sure don't look soft in the middle! Unless you were referring to being an emotional softie!
